I saw on the KHSAA scoreboard that Perry was credited with a win 2-0. I thought if you paid the fee on the contract that the game did not count on won-loss records. Why would you pay the fee if it still counts as a loss?

Heard that Tim Bobrowski was moving back to the Owsley Co. School district as an administrator. Any word on if he is interested in coaching again?

You said you were from Breathitt County in another thread, so why would you want Salyers to stay at PCC. I have also heard that Fugate may be on the move to PCC.

Have they both been interviewed? I would of thought that there would be a lot more applicants for this job. Maybe they were scared off by the talk of politics and the overwhelming parent involvement.

Has anyone been interviewed for the job yet? I was under the impression that the applicants would be interviewed by the site based council and they would make the decision on who the coach would be. How can the job be offered to someone if there has been no interviews? I heard that Roscoe Denny was interested. Has he applied?

Here is what I have heard. The Fugate family doesn't want Doug because that means Channing doesn't get to be the point guard and he will not play for Doug. He left the middle school to return to Perry County because they were not satisfied with Doug as a coach. The Allen family wants Ryan to run the point, so they will not be satisfied with having Doug back and Nick at the point. I guess it will come down to which family has the most influence. Fugate and Allen are great football players and they want to keep football on top, but Doug can bring Nick and other family members to help improve the basketball team. It will be interesting to see who wins the battle.

I don't think that any high school coach at any school can guarantee how long he will be around.

Has Noble been offered the job? I was under the impression that he and some others had applied, including former Bobcat Kyle Lively. This thread makes it seem as if he has the job if he wants it. I think there will be more to apply before the 30 day period is up.

Wrong. Whitaker played, Jones played, Campbell played, Warren played, the other little guard (Kidd) I think is his name played. That is 100% fact. It is only a summer game and it doesn't really matter, but all these players were there and they played FACT.

100% fact, I don't think so. Breatitt beat Owsley by 12 in the first half and 2 in the second for a total of 14. Hazards Varsity, including Campbell, Jones Warren , Whitaker played against Breathitt in the game in which Hazard won. The first half was lop sided, but the same people played in the second half and Hazard won by 2. I don't know about the rest of your 100% facts, but you are badly mistaken about the games.

From what I have heard, the super wants the Fugate kid back on the team because of the pressure his family is applying. If Noble gets the job and his nephew returns as the point guard then the Fugate kid will not play and therefore I don't think Noble will be able to get the job. I think the Allen kid that played a couple years ago also wants to play the point guard position and will not play otherwise, so that is another reason that Noble will not get the job. I don't think Breathitt wants to lose the Fugate kid as a football player, so the new coach will probably be someone who will play him at he point.

I am just curious to see how this plays out. These players transfered while the school is still open and they are still planning on having a team next season. They obviously transferred for athletic reasons, so if the school closes after they have already transfered and applied for elgibility will this affect their chances of getting elgible.

Don't believe they are hiring a new coach, just looking to add Whitaker as an assistant.

The biggest thing this would do is solve Breathitts point guard problem. After Noble left, there wasn't another true pg in the school. Whitaker can play 32 minutes without needing a break.

Rumor has Whitaker coming to Breathitt as an assistant and getting an administrative job at the high school. Anyone know anything?

I have heard that both Breathitt and Jackson will keep their current coaches. That is just what I am hearing.

PCC is definitely not overrated. They are a solid club with a good coach. Letcher Central will have to play a great game to beat them. PCC is the favorite in this one.

It was Perry County Central
