  1. He is one of the dirtiest players in the NFL. He is also a HGH cheat, admittedly. I don't like the guy!
  2. Too bad he couldn't have gone off into the sunset with another championship ring. A class guy and I hope he enjoys retirement
  3. I am partial to the spread, but I think ANY offense that features the otion game as a base is great. Defenses have incredible trouble beating the option. Mixing in the option with a good short passing game is ideal, in my opinion.
  4. I am a big believr in the multiple 50. It is really a 3-4 when run correctly. You need versitile up-men on the ends of the line of scrimmage. Those guys are key, along with a good nose and a good Mike. It is versitile enough that, with proper personnel and coaching, you can match up against the run and shoot one week and the triple option the next. I love it!
  5. 1. Best available DL or LB 2. Best available position that I didn't get in Round 1 3. OL 4. DL 5. LB 6. Best available 7. Best available
  6. What about a college OC job, is UT still open?
  7. That's sick...I forgot they played on the same team. Two NFL HOFs, how didn't they win more games?
  8. Euless Trinity won...this isn't the state title game though. Euless beat Converse Judson the next week for the state title in 5A division 1.
  9. I think Gordon might go before Mayo because of his scoring ability. It depends on the team. All of these freshmen are incredible for the most part.
  10. This really is a great list. I might swap Mayo for Green, but that is easily debatable. :thumb:
  11. ESPN's John Clayton reported that Jim Caldwell would get the job if Tony retired.
  12. Okay, that's fair. I think Eli has played better than Garrard, but let's not quibble.
  13. Don't forget to look at the pics posted on this website for helmet logos. ALso, you can go to a lot of school websites and find football pics as well.
  14. Hinge game for both teams next year. Winner has a good shot at the BCS Championship Game.
  15. You still can not under-estimate Eli's impact. I don't understand why it is so hard to give him credit. He has been a big part of the Giants' success. Defense has played great, O-line has done well, special teams has played well, running game has been their, Eli has made some big plays. Team effort for sure, but I guarantee you could not find anyone in the Giants' locker room that would short change what Eli has done. It is big.
  16. His dad is a hs football coach, so his attitude surprises me more. I would have figured he would have gotten some tough lessons from him. I just wish a lot of these guys would play the game with less of the on field schananagons (oh yeah, I went schananagons on ya'll!).
  17. I like the Clemson guys, Spiller and James Davis. I also liked Ray Rice and Brian Leonard from Rutgers last year. All time greats, how about the Pony Express at SMU, Craig James and Eric Dickerson or Mr. Inside and Mr Outside, Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard.
  18. I'll take the Pats, give the points. I'll take the Giants to win outright, so I'll take whatever points Vegas will give me!
  19. I think Dungy would have a hand in picking his successor, which means it could go to a Dungy disciple, like Herm Edwards or Lovie Smith.
  20. He'll get a shot. His future is probably as a third down back. Maybe he can upgrade in a few years if he sticks with a team, a la Tiki Barber or Warrick Dunn.
  21. I know some school have certain rules about taking transfers. I think you have to put out feelers first to see who is interested. I transfered from a 1A to a 1AA school and my high school coach did a lot of contacting of schools that were interested when I was in high school.
  22. I'll take the Giants. I think that they will get pressure on Favre because of the spread sets Green Bay runs in combination with the great d-line and the blitz packages. Eli makes enough plays and the Giants win another road game. Giants 24 Packers 17
  23. That is NOT true. Eli led the team on a HUGE drive to end the first half.He also made great throws on the other two scoring drives, including the touchdown to Toomer to start the game. I would argue that Bradshaw's change of pace for the running game was just as important as Jacobs was today. The defense held on and deserves a ton of credit, but they did not do this alone. Eli was big today and has been both games.
  24. No one will beat the Pats this year! I thought the Colts were the only team that had a chance. Pats 35 Chargers 21
  25. I am both a Giants fan and an Eli basher (I'm sure halfback 20 can relate). Eli has played very well in the two playoff games this season. He has controlled the offense and led them on some big drives (that drive at the end of the first half today was HUGE!!!). Eli has done a great job of limiting his mistakes and allowing the game to come to him rather than forcing throws or taking dumb sacks waiting for plays to break open. I hope he keeps it going next week versus Green Bay!
