Kentucky football is getting better as a whole. I'm not getting into the who is better than who thing but we still have a long way to go. I have seen players from other state and have watched plenty of highlight films their are some great teams in the South. Texas and Cali are different all tgether. I love KY football and will support it till the day I die but we need to continue to get better and keep producing Top 25 caliber teams.

You know they are playing sports. HHS gives you the best chance to make it to the next level. You play top talent and win state just about every year. College coaches are regulars at their games and the more coaches that see you the better chance you have of getting to college. Smart move by the parents.

As far back as I can remember we have always messed up the schedule. The years HHS could handle a big time schedule they didn't and the years we couldn't do it we ended in The Pit or another Cincy team place. They will need to be focused this team has a ton of talent and it would be a same for something bad to happen.

I know it's a little off topic but Hamblen might have been the best "athlete" to ever go through HHS. Everything he played he excelled at.

I loved Brennan but if it were any longer than an extra point he was not making it. He set national records because he kicked extra points not field goals.

He will get a ton of offers. I hope he stays instate.

THe big question is how many guys will make the "all dale team" playing both offense and defense?

I can't wait until next year when they win it again and its going to be which was better07/08/09. I love the threads that are impossible to decide.

No matter what happens with the cannon I will always remember it and all the tradition that came with it. People talk about it all the time and you just don't get it until your on the field and hear it go off. The rush that it gives you is amazing and you can tell that some opponents get a little freaked out about it. I will never forget it.

In all honesty does anyone think the Birds won't repeat? The classes are not going to change so next year does anyone think they can't do it? Just curious.

A 4A class system would hurt the other schools that might have to be 4A. HHS would be 3A and wouldn't have a huge adjustment to make. They would be playing the same teams. With next years team I think a 3 peat is in the making. Not a given but odds on favorite.

Truthfully could you ask for a better outcome of the seasons? If you are going to make me choose I will take the '08 team. I liked watching what they could do on offense. I think the defensive numbers were higher this year because the offense scored so fast. Reminds me of Oklahoma this year. They have a good defense but the offense scores so fast teh defense can't get enough rest.

I know the coach and I wish my child was old enough to play for him. HHS will be a fundemental team and WILL NOT beat themselves. He is the most prepared guy out there and bleeds baseball. Everywhere we go the conversation leads toward baseball and you can see him light up about it. I for one will make it to a lot of games this year just to sit back and watch a man do what he is meant to do. Good Luck Coach.
