We are coming down the stretch in the 11th Region and things are starting to get interesting as district seeds start to pan out. Some big time individual performances this past week and a huge upset in the 42nd district highlight this weeks recap. Team of the Week - Sayre What a week for the Spartans!! First they go to Bryan Station and win by double figures and then finish the week by winning two games to claim the Bluegrass Conference Championship. Jake Duby, RJ Smith, and Robbie Goodman continue to pace the Spartans. Congrats to the Spartans!! Player of the Week - Taveion Hollingsworth Taveion had an outstanding week in helping lead Paul Laurence Dunbar to 3 wins over quality competition. He averaged 28.6 points per game, including 37 Saturday against a solid Waggener team. Also, this week Taveion passed Darnell Burton to become the all time leading scorer in Dunbar school history. Currently Taveion sits 171 points behind Mike Allen for the Lexington/Fayette County scoring record. Congrats to Taveion!! Team Rankings 1. Lexington Catholic - The Knights continues their winning ways collecting 2 wins and running their winning streak to 9 games. The Knights have yet to lose in the New Year. This week they host 43rd District Rival Lafayette in their only game of the week. Zan Payne and Luke Johnson continue to pace the Knights and Peter Whitman keeps giving them great contributions. 2. Scott County - The Cardinals had a pair of lopsided victories this week over Franklin County and a good North Laurel team. Michael Moreno continues to put up monster numbers for Billy Hicks squad. This week the Cardinals look to wrap up the number 1 seed in the 42nd District with trips to Bryan Station and Henry Clay before heading to Lafayette for the Jock Sutherland Classic to face a top 12th region team in Southwestern. 3. Paul Laurence Dunbar - The Bulldogs had a great week collecting 3 wins over Lafayette, Bryan Station, and Waggener. As mentioned above HUGE week for Taveion Hollingsworth on an individual level. Javea Richardson has been a steady contributor for the Bulldogs all season and Isaiah Yeast has started to find his form of late. This week for Dunbar they host Taylor County and Tates Creek in their final district game of the regular season. 4. Lexington Christian Academy - The Eagles fell just short of their ultimate goal of claiming the All A State Championship losing a close heartbreaker to eventual champion Paris in the semi finals, but represented the 11th region well in Frankfort. Kyle Rode, Carter Hendrickson, and Austin Hall all had a great week for the Eagles. Only one matchup on the schedule for the Eagles this week as they head to Lafayette to face the Generals in a key 43rd District seeding game. 5. Lafayette - The Generals split this week, first losing at home to Dunbar before bouncing back and beating Henry Clay. Cameron Greenup had a nice week for the Generals and JaJuante Carpenter continues his steady play. This week the Generals head to Lexington Catholic and host LCA in district matchups before hosting Scott at their own Jock Sutherland Classic. 6. Madison Central - The Indians edged out a close victory at Tates Creek to begin the week and then fell at Trinity to one of the top teams in the state. Dustin Geralds continues to be impressive for the Indians and young JaCori Miller had a nice week shooting the ball as well. Up next the Indians host Henry Clay and Harrison County in two very winnable games. 7. Madison Southern - The Eagles picked up 2 wins this week over Rockcastle County and George Rogers Clark before falling in a close game at West Jessamine. The Eagles sit at 16-5 and have had an outstanding year so far. Up next for the Eagles are home games with Somerset and Clinton County. 8. Sayre - As mentioned above the Spartans had a great week picking up 3 wins including a huge district win. The Spartans have set themselves up nicely to pick up the 3 seed in the 42nd District and giving themselves a shot at an elusive spot in the 11th Region tournament. The Spartans head out on the road this week to Tates Creek, Nicholas County, and South Laurel. 9. Henry Clay - The Blue Devils had a tough week but it came against some top competition in Trinity and Lafayette. The Blue Devils are without the services of Keaston Brown as of late who is out with a shoulder injury and not sure on when he will return. In his absence Justin Mitchell and Andreus Green will have to really step up. This week Henry Clay heads to Madison Central before hosting Scott County. 10. Bryan Station - Tough week for the Defenders as they dropped a home district game to Sayre and the fell in a close one against city rival Dunbar to end the week. Things get no easier this week as they host Scott County, All A Champion Paris, and Bullitt East. Terrance Clayton-Murphy and Eric "Boss" Boone will need to have big games for Bryan Station moving forward. 11. Tates Creek - The Commodores lost a close one against a good Madison Central team early in the week and then fell hard at Lexington Catholic. One bright spot of late for Tates Creek has been the play of Isaiah Patterson who pored in 33 points against Lexington Catholic. This week they host Sayre before heading to Dunbar and Knox Central to end the week. 12. Franklin County - The Flyers fell hard at Scott County to begin the week but came back and got a district road win against rival Western Hills on Friday to salvage the week. They finished the district regular season tied with Woodford County for the 1 seed and will have to go to a coin flip to determine who claims the top spot. Up next for FC is a trip to Bourbon County and then home against Whitefield Academy in the Gary Moore Classic. 13. Woodford County - The Jackets have won 4 in a row and are starting to peak at the right time. This past week they beat Collins, Harrison County, and Frankfort. As mentioned above they finished tied with Franklin County for the 1 seed in the 41st District. Only one game scheduled this week as they host Casey County. 14. Frankfort - The Panthers split this week, first handling Nicolas County at home before falling to Woodford County on the road. Up next for Frankfort is an 8th region swing hosting Shelby County and Anderson County. 15. Western Hills - The Wolverines started the week off nicely with wins over Trimble County and Shelby County before falling to Franklin County at home. The Wolverines will be the 4 seed in the 41st District. This week they head to Model, Bourbon County, and play Russell County at Franklin County in the Gary Moore Classic. 16. Model - The Patriots went 0-3 on the week falling to Garrard County, Sayre, and Bourbon County. Up next is Western Hills and Lynn Camp. 17. Berea - The Pirates fell to Jackson County and Sayre this week but were able to pick up a win over Middlesboro. This week they play Nicholas County and Riverside Christian. Congrats to Mason!! Just think, Mason, Timmy Dalton, and Taveion Hollingsworth all played aau together the last 3 years and are all having great seasons. Good for them all!

During tonight's win over Bryan Station, Taveion Hollingsworth passed Darnell Burton to become the all time leading scorer in school history. He currently sets at 2,201 points and 4th all time in Lexington/Fayette County history. He needs 208 points to become first all time. Congrats Tay!!!

Another exciting week has come and gone in the always tough 11th region. Some big time district tilts have made these next few weeks interesting and we have an All A champion in the 11th Region who has a great shot to bring home the All A title by the end of the week. Team of the Week - Madison Central The Indians picked up 3 big wins this week over Bryan Station, West Jessamine, and Lincoln County. The Indians have reached .500 on the season and look to be primed to win ANOTHER district title in the 44th. Player of the Week - Eric Powell - Lafayette Eric Powell had a big week at the Toyota Classic for the Generals. He was on fire from 3 all week and almost led Lafayette to a huge comeback win over the host Cardinals but fell just short. Great week for Eric. Team Rankings 1. Lexington Catholic - The Knights got a big time district win over Paul Laurence Dunbar by 1 on their home court Thursday night and then followed that up by beating a good Taylor County team on Saturday. Luke Johnson, Zan Payne, and Peter Whitman continue to lead the Knights. They have now won 7 in a row and 10 out of their last 11! 2. Scott County - The Cardinals won another Toyota Classic this past week with wins over Rockcastle County, Lafayette, and Christian Life out of Texas. Michael Moreno continues his stellar play. Scott County hosts Franklin County and North Laurel this week. 3. Lexington Christian - The Eagles collected another 11th Region All A Championship this past week and did it with little resistance. They open up the All A State Tournament in Frankfort Thursday night against Louisville Holy Cross and would be considered the favorite to win it all in my opinion. 4. Dunbar - The Bulldogs only had 1 game this past week and dropped a 1 point decision on the road against Lexington Catholic. This loss snapped the Bulldogs 15 game 43rd district winning streak and ties the top of the standings in the district. 3 big games for the Bulldogs this week with Lafayette, Bryan Station, and Waggener. 5. Lafayette - The Generals played some tough competition this past week at the Toyota Classic and almost pulled off a frantic comeback against Scott County. On the schedule this week is Dunbar and Henry Clay, both at home. 6. Madison Central - The Indians picked up 3 big wins this week over Bryan Station, West Jessamine, and Lincoln County. The Indians have reached .500 on the season. This week the Indians head out on the road first against Tates Creek and then to Louisville to face a top 5 Trinity team. 7. Madison Southern - The Eagles long winning streak came to an end this week with a close loss to Lafayette at the Toyota Classic, but they bounced back with wins over Rockcastle County and Wayne County to improve to 14-4 overall. This week the Eagles face Rockcastle County, George Rogers Clark, and West Jessamine. 8. Henry Clay - Not a terrible week for the Blue Devils going 1-1. They started off the week with a win over city rival Tates Creek and then lost a tough road game to Ballard. This week they host Trinity before heading to Lafayette. 9. Bryan Station - The Defenders split this week first losing a close one at Madison Central and then beating Woodford County. Terrance Clayton-Murphy has missed some games recently with an injury but Eric "Boss" Boone has stepped up and just missed a triple double against Woodford County. This week Bryan Station faces Sayre and Dunbar. 10. Sayre - The Spartans gave LCA all they wanted for about 3 quarters in the 11th Region All A Final on Saturday but came up short. The Spartans continue to improve weekly. This week they head to Bryan Station for their only game this week. 11. Tates Creek - Tates Creek dropped a close one against Henry Clay early in the week and then fell again to George Rogers Clark. This week is no easier with matchups against Madison Central and Lexington Catholic. 12. Franklin County - The Flyers had a tough week going 1-2 with losses against Shelby County and Boyle County but did pick up a win over Atherton. This week they head to Scott County and Western Hills. 13. Woodford County - The Yellow Jackets went 2-1 on the week with wins over Western Hills and Owen County but dropped a close one to Bryan Station. Big district game for the Jackets this week against Frankfort they also face Collins and Harrison County. 14. Frankfort - The Panthers were able to beat Model this week before dropping a close one to Sayre in the All A semi finals. This week they host Nicholas County before heading to Woodford County for a big district matchup. 15. Model - The Patriots dropped their only game this past week to Frankfort in a close one. Up next for Model are trips to Garrard County and Bourbon County. 16. Western Hills - The Wolverines picked up a win over Bullitt Central but got smoked by Woodford County. This week they head to Trimble County before hosting Shelby County and Franklin County. 17. Berea - The Pirates lost bad to LCA but did pick up a win over St. Patrick late in the week. Another week has come and gone in the always tough 11th Region. District standings have started to round into form in some districts while some are still highly contested. A couple top teams in the region had some out of region matchups this past week. Also, the All A regional tournament takes place this week. Team of the Week - Franklin County The Flyers picked up two big districts wins this week against Frankfort High and Woodford County, two teams that had previously beaten Franklin County. The two wins have catapulted the Flyers back into contention for the 1 seed in the 41st District. Player of the Week - Peter Whitman Peter Whitman had a huge week for the Knights helping lead them to 3 wins. He collected 19 points and 12 rebounds early in the week in a close win against rival Lafayette on 9/9 from the floor and then had 31 points against Mason County on 13/15 from the field. Great week for Peter!! Team Rankings 1. Lexington Catholic - The Knights remain in the top spot this week after going a perfect 3-0 last week. Wins over Tates Creek, Lafayette, and Mason County. The Knights look to continue their winning ways this week with a HUGE district matchup with Dunbar on Thursday that has major seeding implications in the always tough 43rd district. The Knights end the week hosting one of the top 5th Region teams, Taylor County. 2. Scott County - Interesting week for the Cardinals. They started off winning two region games over Madison Central and Sayre and ended the week losing two close games against top out of state competition down in Nashville. As always, Michael Moreno continues to shine for the Cardinals. This week they host the Toyota Classic where they open against Rockcastle County. 3. Paul Laurence Dunbar - The Bulldogs started out the week with wins over Tates Creek and Henry Clay before traveling to Bowling Green and losing to top 5 Bowling Green team in the State Farm Shootout at South Warren. Taveion Hollingsworth continues to play at a high level and is now less then 50 points away from passing Darnell Burton and being the all time leading scorer in Dunbar history. Only one game this week for the Bulldogs as they travel to Lexington Catholic for a big time district showdown. 4. Lexington Christian - The Eagles picked up two big wins against West Jessamine and Lafayette this past week and made them both look easy. Big week for the Eagles as the All A gets started for them. They open up with Berea and I truly believe the Eagles have a great shot to win the All A State Title in Frankfort. 5. Lafayette - The Generals had a tough week dropping a close one to Lexington Catholic and then getting blown out at LCA to end the week. I keep them here due to head to head wins over all the teams ranked right below them. This week the Generals head to Scott County for the always tough Toyota Classic. 6. Madison Central - The Indians had two games against really good teams this past week. First with Scott County and then traveled to Hopkinsville to face a top 5 Tiger team. They took the Tigers to OT but couldn't pull it out. This week the Indians have 3 games with West Jessamine, Bryan Station, and Lincoln County. 7. Madison Southern - The Eagles continue to roll. They have now won 12 straight games. They picked up easy wins over Berea and Model this past week. Next up for the Eagles is the Toyota Classic in Scott County. Should be a couple stronger tests this week then the past couple of weeks. This will tell us a lot about where the Eagles stand. 8. Henry Clay - The Blue Devils picked up a HUGE district win over Bryan Station earlier this week before falling at Dunbar but bounced back with a nice road win at Franklin County. The young devils continue to improve and look to be getting better. Mitchell and Brown continue to contribute majorly for Henry Clay. 9. Bryan Station - The Defenders have struggled a bit lately with the absence of their coach Tommy Johnson, who was thrown out of a game earlier this month and has forced him to miss 3 games. This week they travel to Madison Central and host Woodford County. 10. Sayre - The Spartans picked up a nice home win over Woodford County early in the week before dropping one to Scott County. The Spartans are playing pretty good ball this week and look to be the only strong competition this week for LCA in the All A Region. 11. Tates Creek - The Commodores hung tough with Dunbar early in the week before falling in a big way at Lexington Catholic to end the week. Still they are playing much better then at the beginning of the season and the return of Isaiah Patterson has really helped them. This week they play Henry Clay and Clark County, good tests for them. 12. Franklin County - The Flyers picked up two big wins over Frankfort and Woodford to help get them back in the mix in the 41st district. Dropped one Saturday to Henry Clay but I'm sure they are happy with the two wins they got early in the week. This week the Flyers travel to Shelby County, host Atherton, and play Boyle County on a neutral floor. 13. Woodford County - The Yellow Jackets dropped two game this past week. First, to Sayre and then a close one at Franklin County. They look to get back on track this week against Western Hills, Bryan Station, and Owen County. 14. Frankfort - The Panthers lost big at Franklin County early in the week but bounced back with a blowout win over Western Hills to end the week. Next up for Frankfort is the 11th Region All A. 15. Another exciting week in the 11th region this past week. A couple of close games throughout the week including some big district matchups that went down to the wire. Some more big games on the horizon this week. The 43rd District is once again starting to show its strength amongst the rest of the region and a couple long winning streaks remain intact. Team of the Week - Lafayette The Generals picked up two big city wins this week. The first came over Bryan Station on a last second tip in by Chris Wharton and the other was a dismantling of district rival Tates Creek. A huge week in store for the Generals though as they face Lexington Catholic and Lexington Christian in two big district matchups. The first meeting with both those teams for the Generals this season. Player of the Week - Luke Johnson Luke had another outstanding week for the Lexington Catholic Knights. Early in the week he poured in 29 points in a close win at LCA including some big free throws down the stretch and then added 20 points in a blow out win over St. Henry. Good week for Luke. Team Rankings 1. Lexington Catholic - The Knights take over the number 1 spot this week after defeating previous number 1 Lexington Christian. The Knights also got an easy win over St. Henry to end the week. The Knights have been paced by Luke Johnson and Zan Payne of late, including those 2 scoring 46 of their 50 in the LCA game. This week the Knights travel to Lafayette and host Tates Creek in two district matchups. 2. Scott County - The Cardinals finished the week 2-0 with a nice win on the road at 8th region favorite Oldham County and then a home beat down of 42nd district foe Henry Clay. The Cardinals eclipsed 100 points in the Henry Clay game and look to be hitting their stride. This week the Cardinals head to Madison Central and host Sayre to end the week. 3. Paul Laurence Dunbar - The Bulldogs had a great week picking up two 11th region road wins at Madison Central and at LCA. Taveion Hollingsworth poured in 40 points against LCA Friday night helping the Bulldogs erase a 14 point 3rd quarter lead for the Eagles and keeping the Bulldogs undefeated in 43rd district play. Big week for the Bulldogs as they travel to Tates Creek Tuesday, host Henry Clay on Thursday, and then head to Bowling Green Saturday to face the Bowling Green Purples in what should be a fun game. 4. Lexington Christian - Tough week for the Eagles as they drop two close games in which they had a lead in the 4th quarter. Lexington Catholic and Paul Laurence Dunbar both pulled out come from behind wins at LCA this past week but the Eagles did salvage the week with a nice win on a neutral floor over a good Corbin team. This week the Eagles head to West Jessamine and host Lafayette in another 43rd district matchup. 5. Lafayette - The Generals got a little revenge this week against Bryan Station on a last second tip in by Chris Wharton to pull out a 2 point victory and then blitzed Tates Creek to end the week. HUGE week for the Generals ahead though as they host Lexington Catholic before heading to LCA to end the week. District wins in the 43rd are tough to come by and the Generals will be looking to grab a couple this week. 6. Bryan Station - Only one game for the Defenders this week as they lost a close one to Lafayette on the road. This week the Defenders head to Henry Clay in a district matchup. Bryan Station defeated Henry Clay earlier this season by 10 so expect this one to be a good game. 7. Madison Central - The Indians dropped a close one at home to Dunbar in a low scoring affair and ended the week with a nice win on the road against Woodford County. Isaiah Cozart continues to be a problem on the defensive end for teams. 3 games on the docket for the Indians this week as they host Casey County, Scott County, and then head to Hopkinsville to face a good Tiger team. 8. Madison Southern - The winning streak has reached 10 for the Eagles. Two nice home wins over Woodford County and Montgomery County this past week. Looks like an easy week on the horizon with games at Model and at Berea this week. Interesting that the Eagles don't face any Fayette County schools this season. 9. Henry Clay - The Blue Devils picked up a road victory at Sayre to start the week before heading to Scott County and losing a game that was never close. This week the Blue Devils host Bryan Station before heading to Dunbar and Franklin County to end the week. 10. Sayre - The Spartans had a chance to move up the rankings this week but just couldn't pull it out against Henry Clay. The game was close most of the time and the Blue Devils pulled away early in the 4th quarter. They ended the week with a nice win over Boone County. This week they host Woodford County before heading to Scott County. 11. Tates Creek - The Commodores are starting to show signs of life. They handled Franklin County early in the week and then fell at Lafayette on Friday and home to Moore on Saturday. The week gets no easier as Tates Creek hosts Dunbar on Tuesday and then heads to Lexington Catholic on Thursday. 12. Woodford County - The Yellow Jackets had a tough start to the week losing at Madison Southern but bounced back a little winning at Frankfort in a key district game before falling to Madison Central on Saturday. Another big week for Woodford as they head to Sayre and Franklin County in a district matchup. 13. Franklin County - The Flyers started the week losing to Tates Creek but got Diablo Stewart back Friday night and his 37 points helped lead them to a blowout win over Western Hills. The Flyers ended the week losing to a good Cloverdale, Indiana team on the road. HUGE week coming up with two district matchups at home with Frankfort and Woodford County. 14. Frankfort - The Panthers struggles continue. Early in the week they dropped a close game at Bourbon County and then fell to Woodford County at home Friday night. This week the Panthers have two big district games with Franklin County and Western Hills, two teams they have defeated previously. 15. Western Hills - The Wolverines dropped their only game last week by 20 to Franklin County and haven't really been playing well lately. This week they head to East Jessamine and Frankfort. 16. Model - The Patriots picked up a nice win over rival Berea last week. This week they host Madison Southern and head to Somerset and Owsley County. 17. Man, what a game. LCA led by as many as 15 in the 3rd quarter and Rode was dominating. Middle of the 3rd quarter Hollingsworth got the eye and it was lights out. Finished with 40 points and 7 assists including 20 points in the 4th quarter. Two very good teams!! PLD goes to 4-0 in district play and LCA drops to 1-3.

The games between these two teams always intrigue me. I think LCA looks at Catholic as a huge rival but I'm not sure Catholic feels the same way. It's an interesting dynamic. For some reason I really feel like these two will split the season series this year. I could be wrong but just a feeling I get. It's so hard to win at Catholic so if LCA is going to beat them this season it will have to be at LCA which is where the game is tonight. I expect it to be really really close. More then anything it comes down to rebounding the basketball with these two teams.

The holiday tournaments have come and gone and the 11th Region is starting to take form for the stretch run. As always the 43rd district looks to be a nightmare for the teams involved while the rest of the region could end up in who knows what type of order. Should be a fun ride to February and I expect the cream to rise to the top. Team of the Week - Madison Southern The Eagles had an outstanding Christmas break. Winners of 8 in a row and the Mountain School Boy Classic. Michael Jefferson is averaging 16.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Eagles. After a 0-3 start to the season the Eagles have seemed to find their stride. Player of the Week - Taveion Hollingsworth Taveion has averaged 29.2 points over the holiday season against arguably one of the toughest stretches in the state during the King of the Bluegrass and Traditional Bank Holiday Classic. Included in that stretch was a career high 47 point output against Lee, Alabama. Team Rankings 1. Lexington Christian - The Eagles are on quite the tear lately. They have won 7 straight games and came home with the Gateway Holiday Classic championship and the Central Bank Classic Championship which they hosted. They scored a big win over a good Pulaski County team and were never challenged in Montgomery County. HUGE week for the Eagles as they host 43rd district opponents Lexington Catholic and Paul Laurence Dunbar this week. Big games for seeding purposes in that brutal district. 2. Lexington Catholic - The Knights finished the holiday tournaments stretch with 2 runner up showings against tough competiton. They went to Florida and lost in the Rock Holiday Classic Championship game by 2 and then fell in their own tournament championship game by a close margin to a good Cooper team. This week they travel to rival LCA in a big 43rd district game and then host St. Henry and McLean County. 3. Scott County - The Cardinals only competed in 1 holiday tournament, the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach. They finished 1-2 against some stiff competition including Evanston, Illinois, one of the top teams in that state. The Cardinals could still make an argument for the 1 spot especially with a win over LCA but a loss against Catholic and 3 is where they stand this week. Next up for Scott County is a trip to a good Oldham County team and then finish up the week at home against 42nd district rival Henry Clay. 4. Paul Laurence Dunbar - The Bulldogs played an absolutely brutal schedule the last 2 weeks in the King of the Bluegrass and Traditional Bank Classic. They fell in close games to Ballard, Doss, and Cooper which are not bad losses and then won all the games they should've. Big week for the Bulldogs as they travel to Madison Central Tuesday and then to LCA in a HUGE district seeding game for both teams. Dunbar squeaked by LCA the first time by 2 points. Expect that to be an outstanding game. 5. Bryan Station - The Defenders had a nice holiday stretch winning some big games along the way including a head to head matchup over Lafayette on a neutral court. David DeMarcus has had some big games for the Defenders and Terrance Clayton-Murphy continues to be a steady scoring threat. This week the Defenders travel to Lafayette and Montgomery County. 6. Lafayette - The Generals started out the holiday season rough going 1-2 in Oldham County but finished strong with a 3rd place showing in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic with a big comeback over Perry County Central and beating a good Paris team. This week the Generals look for revenge against Bryan Station and then look for a district win over Tates Creek. 7. Madison Central - The Indians had a rough holiday season losing head coach Allen Feldhaus to a 3 game suspension in the process over some questionable technical foul calls in Mason County. The Indians were still competitive and I believe have not reached their highest potential yet this year. Isaiah Cozart continues to be a force for the Indians. This week they host Paul Laurence Dunbar and travel to Woodford County. 8. Madison Southern - As stated above the Eagles have won 8 in a row and had a great holiday season winning the Mountain Schoolboy Classic. This week the Eagles host Woodford County, Montgomery County, and Clark County 3 days in a row. Not a bad schedule this week for the Eagles as they look to continue the winging ways. 9. Henry Clay - The Blue Devils have had their ups and downs so far this season. Guard play continues to be a big thing for Henry Clay. When Brown and Mitchell play well so do the Blue Devils. Big games this week with district opponents Sayre and Scott County. 10. Sayre - The Spartans continue to climb up the rankings. Although they didn't come away with a lot of wins over the break they played some quality competiton closely and look to be getting ready for a run at the all a region. This week they host Henry Clay in what could be an interesting game and then head to Marion County. Jake Duby continues to play well. 11. Tates Creek - The Commandores haven't exactly lit the scoreboard up as far as wins go but they did smoke Woodford County and I believe they are better then anyone else left in the region and have won their last 2 games. This week they have games with Franklin County, Lafayette, and Moore. 12. Woodford County - The Yellow Jackets have won 4 of their last 6 games and have a big week ahead of them. They travel to a hot Madison Southern team and then end the week at Frankfort in a huge 41st district seeding game for both teams. 13. Frankfort - The Panthers have hit the struggle bus lately. Since their win over district rival Franklin County the Panthers have lost 7 in a row, albeit some of those came without big man John Tillman. This Friday they host Woodford County in a big district game and look to go to 3-0 in the 41st. 14. Franklin County - Do I believe the Flyers are the 14th best team in the region, no I don't but the results lately are hard to argue with. They have lost 5 out of 6 some of that came without stand out pg Daiblo Stewart but still the Flyers need some good results this week. They play 2 winnable games with Tates Creek and Western Hills. 15. Western Hills - The Wolverines have lost 4 in a row and need to get back on the winning track quickly. Only one game this week but a big win against crosstown rival Franklin County. 16. Berea - The pirates continue to stay around .500 and have a big game this week with rival Model. 17. Model - The Patriots have won 2 in a row and look to continue to improve with a big rivalry game against Model this week.
