Lynn Camp/Williamsburg Predictions
TheReturn replied to DADDY CAT's topic in KY Football (High School)
One of the biggest differences to me from last year is the fact last year all the Jackets had to do was beat Lynn Camp to take over the top spot in the district. For Lynn Camp this year, not only do they have to beat the Jackets but also Hazard and Middelsboro to take over the top spot(not to mention have Williamsburg lose to Pineville). The jacket fans and players knew that going into the game, that there destiney was definetly in their hands. -

I don't think they water the field down, but mysteriously the field was wet last year. I do not know if they have drainage problems on that field or what. No where else around the stadium was wet, even at lower elavations. I thought this killed Lynn Camp last year. With as Dry as it's been, the field will not get soaked tonight. I do not see it being a factor against the Jackets. -

I really think a wet field favors Williamsburg. Last year I thought the wet field really hurt Lynn Camp. I guess we will see!!! -
McCreary Central at Bell Co.
TheReturn replied to The Banker of the South's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think that is being unfair. I am pretty sure they would not move the ball against Bell with or without Watts. They may have been able to manage one score with Watts, but it still would be a blow out. I doubt they score in this ball game. -

Wouldn't they also need Williamsburg to lose to Pineville at home, and get the three upsets in a row? -
McCreary Central at Bell Co.
TheReturn replied to The Banker of the South's topic in KY Football (High School)
Why do Mcreary Co fans discount how good the Watts kid is? I think he is the best athlete in the mountains. So what if a bulk of the other kids stats came from overplaying the Watts kid? -

If Lynn Camp would happen to win this game what would that mean for the district seeding? If I am counting right, it would make Campbellsville 3rd Lynn camp would have to beat Hazard and Mboro to get first and have Williamsburg lose to Pineville. -

With Watts it would have been a blow out. Without Watts mcreary will not have a chance of moving the ball on Bell. Bell-52 Mcreary-0 -

Conventional wisdom would say that Lynn Camp would benefit from a wet field, but I thought it really hurt them last year. I do not see it hurting either team. -

Lynn Camp/Whitley County Predictions
TheReturn replied to DADDY CAT's topic in KY Football (High School)
For a whole year, Whitley had to hear about how the big 5A school got crushed by the little single A school. What made it worst was Williamsburg (the single A school in Whitley Co) beat Lynn Camp the next week. The Whitley kids are tired of hearing about it and they will definetly be up for this game, not to mention this is Whitley's annual rivalry game. Whitley is going to get redemption this week. Whitley-56 Lynn Camp-6 -
Williamsburg should win this game, but Williamsburg will have a tougher game on their hands then most would think. Williamsburg-38 Harlan-23

Campbellsville @ Williamsburg updates
TheReturn replied to campersfan728's topic in KY Football (High School)
Most of the calls were very obvious. The forward pass call was crazy obvious. They tried a double pass out of gun and the qb kept pushing back. The clipping call on kick off return was pretty obvious, and unnecessary, it really did not affect the play. Campbellsville really hurt themselves by personal foul penalties, but how is that the refs fault. It was a big game with a lot of emotions, and it was a hard faught ball game. -

What games of Williamsburg have you seen this year? -
I would agree with you on this one. They have two very athletic kids who have game changing speed. They both have enough speed to take a game over if they want to.

Who will you vote for and why
TheReturn replied to MountainThunder's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
Personally I will vote mccain simply being the lesser of two evils. Obama has not done anything to win this election, accept say he is not affiliated with Bush. When ever a serious question he can not answer is asked he simply brushes it off, and the media gives him a pass on it. The whole Ayers thing is an example. Honestly look at what can turn around our economy as a whole, taxation is not the answer. -
Rockcastle County and McCreary Central Predictions!!!
TheReturn replied to doodle's topic in KY Football (High School)
I was told Watts did not even play in the second half of that game. I was told it was not a bad half time score. When Watts went out, it got extremly ugly for Mcreary. That was told to me by a Knox Central fan at the game, he could have been mistaken though. -
Lynn Camp/Harlan Independent Predictions

They will definetly win this week against Harlan. This will give them one more week to heal up before there big rivalry game with Whitley Co. -
Campbellsville vs. Williamsburg
TheReturn replied to volfan782000's topic in KY Football (High School)
Sounds like somebody is putting up bulletin board material for their team. I know you honestly do not think this way. Campbellsville is the most athletic of the two teams with the bigger stronger line.I know you do not believe what you are saying. -
Perry has not shown a good showing the last two weeks. I 'll go Clay by 10.

Campbellsville vs. Williamsburg
TheReturn replied to volfan782000's topic in KY Football (High School)
I thought Campbellsville was the preaseason favorite to win the district. I do not see them as an underdog at all , Williamsburg is probably the underdog if anything. Especially since they lost twice to c'ville last year. It will be a great game, but you would have to call the eagles the favorite.
