  1. It is not for a lack of trying from Bell and Williamsburg I know for a fact.
  2. I have to agree. Without the Watts kid this team will struggle to play with C'ville. It might be hard for Mcreary to get another win this year.
  3. Actually when Campbell was coach at Whitley he avoided Corbin, even though most of those years Whitley was a superior team. I think it had something to do with the kids transfering from Whitley. Now I would say Corbin would avoid the game. Corbin and Williamsburg had a start to a good serious going, but now a game can not get worked out. I know from the Williamsburg side of it, the Burg would love for that game to continue. I can't for the life of me understand how you have three teams in the County that are ranked in the top ten, all won their district, and none play each other. I know Coach Black and herron would love to get Corbin on the schedule, but I seriously doubt that it will happen.
  4. Why is this a hard concept to get. If Corbin would play Bell, what would happen in that game? So they get a higher ranking for avoiding a team.
  5. Lynn Camp will have a tough time stopping the running game of Hazard. I think it will be closer than most expect, and I hope Lynn Camp can pull it off. This game will help Lynn Camp prepare for their first round playoff game with LCA. Hazard-20 Lynn Camp-13
  6. I think their program is moving in the right direction, and I am glad they are joining the district next year.
  7. I would be interested in finding a year in which that happened. Do you think you could find that for us. I am sure it has happened, Pineville at one time was a very strong program in the Mountains. I think it might have happened in 2000, but I am not 100% confident in saying that.
  8. No arguments with the top ten, but I think Whitley should be in front of Corbin. The only loss Whitley had was to Bell, which is a team that Corbin will not play. I do not think Corbin could hang with Whitley.
  9. I was knocking any other counties I was saying has that happened in Whitley Co. before. I know in Jefferson Co. it has been done. I think it is a rare year for the Whitley Co schools. I would also like to see these teams start playing each other. The Williamsburg vs. Corbin games was a lot of fun. It is a shame it is not a annual game.
  10. The Lawson kid has been a very good addition to the Jackets this year. It is good to see a kid who works hard have some sucess. I barely know the kid, but he I have heard he is a good student who never causes trouble in school. These type of kids are always going to fit in well at the burg.
  11. That is a good sign for Williamsburg when you pick against us. Last year you picked LC over the Jackets, and this year you picked C'ville over the Jackets. I guess this is a good for the Jackets!
  12. It is the lack of making the defense change that I question. That is all, If Lynn Camp would of put more pressure on The Williamsburg Defense by changing up some of the schemes, it would have gotten Williamsburg out of their comfort zone.
  13. Hey Daddy Cat maybe Lynn Camp will beat LCA and we can do this game again.
  14. Does anybody see any changes in the Lynn Camp offense coming? They don't seem to give much different looks or make the defense change at all. I think they would have better results if they made the defense change a little. They did hurt Williamsburg with the power pass against a freshman who kept playing it wrong (which I thought was good coaching). They got as may first downs because of penalties, than they did from their offense.
  15. Corbin, Whitley, and Williamsburg all won district titles this year. Has this ever happened before? It is a shame these teams do not play each other. Also congratulations to Jim Black for turning Whitley County's fortune around. I am not sure how many loosing seasons it was in a row, but it was a couple. That type of turn around is special and should be a great experience for all those kids. It was just a matter of time before Jim got it done out there. They should also have a pretty good run in the playoffs.
  16. We can't wait for our chance at LCA. We having been looking for another chance at them since last season. They are a good team and we are a good team. I hope it happens, right here a the Burg. Lets get it on. :fight:
  17. Yeah that is what would happen. I do not think the KHSAA should allow teams to play up. The only reason they would is for a easier road in the playoffs or district.
  18. Williamsburg will have a good group next year with Ryan Moses and 3 recievers, 1 running back, and a lot of juniors to play the line. They also have a couple of kids that transfered who are sitting out this year who will help out a lot. They will be hurting in depth though. Williamsburg 7th grade class is their next big class.
  19. Williamsburg is starting a pretty good streak against Lynn Camp of late! In the last 5 years the Jackets are 5-1. They have won the last three contest in a row. As far as the fans from Lynn Camp, I was shocked by anything except before the game when the Jackets were warming up. There was a female fan that was cursing obsenities at the Williamsburg players. I do not think this is the standard for the Lynn Camp fans. I know I have been embarresed by the actions of 1 or 2 Jacket fans before as well. As far as the Refs, the black hat in the middle of the field (who threw the most flags on Williamsburg and Lynn Camp) simply seemed unaware of the rules. It simply seemed to be to big of a game for him, he looked like a younger kid. I can see where Lynn Camp and Williamsburg would have been frustrated with that guy. The game was a line dominated game for the most part. The WHS line handed it to the front 7 of the Lynn Camp defense. I also did not see the Lynn Camp offesive line get any movement up front from the Williamsburg defensive line. Williamsburg was very banged up in their skilled positions, and it was very evident. I hope the two weeks to heal before their next game will help. Daniel Petite finally seems to be feeling better after a ankle injury and looked very good on the short curl routes. Lets do it again next year!!!:dancingpa
  20. Actually no, they would still need Williamsburg to loose. All that said Lynn camp wins, they still need the Jackets to loose. The year before Lynn camp could have won all the games they wanted to after the Williamsburg game. They were not going to catch up in points(as long as Williamsburg won at Pineville).Nice Try though!!!
  21. Maybe since they aren't playing Bell they could schedule Williamsburg who has been trying to schedule Corbin back the last three years.
