  3. I think that Bell will win this game. However, in the words of Lee Corso, "it might be closer than the experts think." Bell 28 (Late TD) KC 14

  5. Was expecting a little larger of a margin in this one. Looks like LC is a little better than I thought. Good job LC.

  7. Uhoh... Mama Baear don't like it when you mess with her cubs... Haha. You all fire me up.

  9. While Hensley has been known to jump from place to place pretty often, if you get him around home (i.e. in Eastern Ky) he will be in it for the long haul. While his record is sub-par at Dunbar, this year’s team that he is returning should be pretty good (if he stays). With the exception of Trinity and maybe Henry Clay, they can beat anyone on their schedule. So he's had two down years at Dunbar, so what. He has proven he can win on all levels (10-3 in 2005 at Dunbar[6A], 10-2 in 2004[3A] at E. Jessamine, 10-2 in 2003 at East Jessamine, and 8-4 in 2002 at East Jessamine). And keep in mind that all of the competition that he has been playing is 3A and 6A level (with the exception of a few games here and there). He could easily come in and win the district with Pikeville, and compete to win the region against Hazard next year. I know he has been a lot of different places but the man is about as good of a coach as you are going to find. If he goes to Pikeville, they will be darn good in about 2 years. (They will be pretty good this year.) And if he stays at Dunbar this year, a lot of these Hensley bashers that are on here right now, might be singing a different tune....
  10. I'm sorry but Harlan Ind has had winning records 5 of the last 9 years. They have won 2 district titles, came in second in the district twice, and went to the regional finals. I am happy to see the new school. I think it will hurt some of the communities that revolve around their high schools, but that isn't the point. I am looking forward to seeing some possibly good football teams coming out of there, and also seeing some good competition come into the county to play. However, they haven't won a game yet. It is okay to have high hopes about your school but please don't insult another one which has done pretty well considering the talent fluctuations that occur in small 1-A schools. I understand that your opinion of Harlan isn't high, but remember that some of the kids who play on that team (which is definitely in a dip in its power curve right now) still read this site. Good luck this season nevertheless. BTW, do you think HC will ever play David Hensley’s Dunbar team in the near future? He usually schedules a team from E. Kentucky each year (last yr was Corbin, this year M-boro). Could be a nice match up…. Dunbar is definetly looking to be on the rise in the coming years too (they had good JV and freshman teams this past year).
  11. Is this intended to be a shot at Harlan Ind. or at Letcher Co.?
  12. Harp might leave for the Florida job. The University of Florida that is... haha
  13. Any word about what this conference entailed? I think that it would be a good idea for the school and Coach Larkey to try to keep the old coaches on the staff at least for the 1st year. I think it will help iron out any of the underlying tension (I know there isn't much right now LB (haha) but it might possibly show its ugly head in July) that will result from combining the schools. Also, Eric Perry isn't too bad of a D. Coordinator if I do remember... Any word if Jacob Saylor is going to be on the new staff?
  14. Well since Harlan County High School's record is 0-0 in the recent past, I think you may be fighting a losing battle...
  15. I've heard that he has a son who is supposed to take over for him at the rock. Can any of the rock fans back this up (aka, does he even have a son in coaching?)?
  16. Agreed... I have lived in NY for the past three years and the football isn't much. I'm sure you will find some "individuals" in the inner city that are great but from top to bottom it is weak...
  17. Must say that it was the warmest Army-Navy game I've been to. However, that may have been the most humiliating loss I've watched in this series... Talked to a couple of Army football players today and they say that Coach Brock is dead set on bringing back the triple option to West Point next year. I have to say that it is about time. Ever since we got away from it we have been on a loosing skid including the last 6 to Navy. Interesting fact, Army has only won 10 games in the last 3 years!
  18. This man (not kid) is the real deal. Although he has wonderful atheltic ability, his character is what you build rick solid programs around. Good luck to him at WKU.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mff6uPddUbw So you're telling me there's a chance!
  20. Will this game be carried live on any internet radio feeds? If anyone knows a web site who will be carrying it, can you please post a link for the rest of us? Thanks. Should be a another great game.
