Final. Did anyone see this coming? At one point this game was 8-7. The score of the second half was 0-0. Southwestern had the ball inside the 4 yard line and fumbled it away late. They also did the same thing later on inside the 25. From what Coach Saylor was saying on the radio the bears were getting dominated on the line.

Does anyone know if this will be carried on any Harlan Radio Stations?

I think what you might have meant is that Corbin didn't play very good against your black bears... That is why I think they will play very well against Harlan (aka, I got a feeling that coaches are going to light a hot fire under some tails down there.) I would be very, very suprised if this one is as close as you are saying. I will bet you a big steak dinner on that one friend.

Bell: 35 Marion: 21 Bell will be out to show people that they are for real. However, I don't think you can get in shape in a week and from what I am hearing, that is what bell needs to do. Marion will score some points towards the end of the game to make this one more respectable.

Am I the only person on here that is hoping we get Travis Ford? While Donovan is a younger coach, it took him some time to turn around the Florida program. I know he was an assistant at UK under Ricky P but Travis knows first hand what the sport of basketball means to us all as a player and that could translate over to some hi-speed coaching IMO. I know he isn't "proven" but I believe that every person wants to coach for their alma mater and I think that brings something else to the table that money can't buy. I don't want a Donovan or a coach Cal that I think are only in it because UK is willing to offer them more money than what they can get at their current schools. I know Donovan is an ego-case and would love to be the #1 coach at a univeristy and Florida can't offer him that as long as Urban Meyer is down there. I still think that Ford could bring some passion to this program that is MUCH needed at this time. That is just my opinion, probably doesn't mean much.

I got a chance to meet with Coach Knight and Coach K about a year ago. What I can say is that Coach Knight looks A LOT older in person. No doubt, I have the upmost respect for him but at this stage in his life, I honestly don't think he could make it 6 years as a head basketball coach, his health would be at risk. I don't say NEVER to anything but him getting hired is about as close to a "never" situation as I could think of.

Middlesboro had a kid at MLB by the name of Floyd Branham (I think) that year. On the first offensive play of the game for Beechwood, this kid jumped the center and pulled down the QB for a sack. This really set the tone for the rest of the game. Great one to watch.

What are evryone's ideas about this newer workout program? Are any teams using it as a means to gain agility and functional fitness for their skill players and/or linemen? If you don't know what I am talking about, here is a link to the website.

I'm sorry but I think that Jake Napier, while a good player, was not as good as Hiram Fields who played out there for Coach Luttrell in the mid-late 90's. It was also before my time but didn't Tim Saylor play QB for Cawood as well? If so, he definetely has to make the list of best Cawood QB's.

Actually, if Obama were not to be sworn in on Jan 20th, Joe Biden has no claim on the office because he wasn't elected to be president. I know that many people would believe that he should become president at that time, but if Obama isn't sworn in then Biden would never be either (since he is technically a member of the Obama administration). This would likely go to the Supreme Court who would have to decide on how to interpret the consitution on this topic because the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 doesn't specify anything about a president-elect (who isn't sworn in). I would say that Biden would likely get the nod on this one but it is possible that it could actually require a run-off election and Bush to stay in office a while longer (not like a full term though, just a few weeks or so). I'm really just playing devil's advocate here (no pun intended). Here it what is specified in the Pres. Succ. I know this is clearly going to be all speculation, but what are the odds of Phil Fulmer being out at Tennessee at the end of the year? Although he has one of the best winning percentages of any coach in the game, things on Rocky Top don't look so good (3-5, 1-4). So what does BGP nation think?

Great win for Harlan. While I think a two win season should never lock in a home playoff game, it is the system that is there so there is no need to cry about it. Happy to see Harlan do well. Any stats?

I want to say it was Harlan Ind. in 1996...? HDE would probably know for sure though.
