  1. You are being kind. Don't care where this one is being played. Best in 3A will roll in this one. Belfry - 55 East Carter - 7
  2. And you never know, some new talent may move into the system. :sssh::sssh:
  3. I have read a lot of posts about the "problems" in Greenup with their athletic programs. I always notice some type of excuse. "only had 5 juniors, players suspended, coaches," etc. Have they ever just lost to a better team? The first step to fixing a problem is accepting some responsibility for why the problems exist. Once the people of Greenup stop pointing fingers and really start doing the things that other successful programs do they may then turn that place around. Just my opinion. Good luck to both programs.
  4. If a player or coach is ejected from a game they are automatically suspended from their next scheduled game at that level and the coach is fined $50 for his ejection. There is no other rule mandated by the KHSAA. If a coach or the school administration chooses to add to a suspension it is solely up to them. Rather than complaining about a coach trying to take control and teach values to a student-athlete we should applaud them.
  5. Do you believe in miracles? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. At first I was a little surprised at this but after Stanford knocked off USC, nothing surprises me in college football anymore.
  7. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck........Needless to say, there are a lot of ducks in this town!!!
  8. I agree. I also agree that Fla is better than 13th.
  9. May be the best game in the state this week. Can't wait!!!!!!
  10. Don't you have to be able to teach that? The coaches may be the same but the players are always changing. I do agree that it does become a mindset that develops through years of experience and continuity. The coaches know what it takes. The players believe in and trust the coaches and the younger players get to watch and LEARN so when its their turn they believe and know what to do too.
  11. The 9th region is definitely exciting. Always someone coming or going. Now that The Sopranos is over its the best thing around to leave you hanging till the next time. To Be Continued...................
  12. This one gets ugly in a hurry. Woodford rolls.
  13. I'm confused. First, I am not a Russell supporter although I am a little familiar with them due to friends and reading stuff on here. Actually, my statement about Mason was not a slam but an opinion that Russell better be ready to play because SK beat a team that beat Campbell who beat Mason and my understanding is that Mason is a good team and serious threat to Russell in their district. No Mason Co. conspiracy in my post. Good luck to you guys the rest of the season.
  14. No offense because St X is good. I have seen them this year but I have to believe there are more than 2 or 3 teams in the country who are better.
  15. Simon Kenton may be 3-3 but they are not bad. They beat a good Ryle team who crushed Campbell Co who crushed Mason Co 27-7. They are a physical 6A school who should give Russell a big challenge. I understand from reading a lot of stuff on here that Russell has a huge home winning steak. Simon Kenton is very capable of ending that. I have also read Russell supporters stating that Russell has played uninspired and had to come from behind a lot this year. It will be much tougher to come from behind against Simon Kenton. Wouldn't mind seeing that game but there is a big game here this weekend with Highlands coming to town.
  16. Maybe what he means is that LCA is obviously the best in the district and the others, including Raceland, are much more closely matched?? Good teams, not great.
