In Mercer's defense they did graduate a lot from last year's team. However, it just shows that it does make a difference when you are competing with other schools the same size.

This is a little surprising. Expected a wider margin than this. With the exception of LCA maybe this district is more competitive than I thought.

Honestly, did you all really think that UK was going to go undefeted and compete for the national championship? Teams have "bad" games and they just so happened to have it on national tv. Woodson is still a very good qb and has plenty of opportunity to show what he can do the rest of the year. He says he doesn't care about the Heisman so why should we? The season isn't over. UK still has a very good team. Lets enjoy this season. Lord knows they don't come around that often. I felt that we could go 9-3 this year and go to a much better bowl game than we have in the past. Last night did not change that expectation.

I'll admit I don't know as much about the western end of the state but I don't know how you cannot pick Belfry as the favorite from the east at this point in the season with Russell, Breathitt, Mason, & Sheldon Clark as top contenders.
