Not even gonna lie, we were ALL shocked at this beatdown! It was 36-0 with a running clock with around 3 minutes left in the 1st half. Maroons held HC to a total of 36 yards of offense on 38 plays. HC gained 4 1st downs all night. 1 via penalty and another 2 in 3rd qtr once the game was over. Henry Clay was beat when they got on the bus to make the trip south. The most dominating performance I've seen by PC in several years, maybe ever. It was that bad.

Harris is for real! Don't see anyone keeping him from getting his. Pulaski played an outstanding team game Friday night, on sides of the ball. Definitely no quit in this team! The mix of experience and youth are getting better each day.

Pulaski wins 34-12. Pulaski's varsity is pretty much a JV team, starting several freshmen & sophomores. Mind you, they are very good young players.

Sounds like a very good game. To bad MVPSportsChannel wasn't allowed to do the game tonight. We are all missing out.

I keep seeing this 5A vs 2A stuff and it is getting old. It's not how many you have in your school it's how many you put in uniform. How many does each team dress? Somerset will put more kids in uniform this Friday than Southwestern. So, the classification of each team has absolutely zero to do with this game on the field.

Not sure how on earth SW is #8 in 5A. Lost a ton to graduation and best returning players didn't even return. Gonna be a long season for the Warriors. SHS calls off the dogs in the 4th and cruise to a 43-6 win.

I was in Wayne county today around 1pm and there was no snow. Had all melted off. I'm sure it had melted everywhere by then. Not buying there was THAT much more snow than we had in Somerset. Just poor decision in my opinion. But that's why I'm at home on a message board and Robert Jones is doing the job he does. HAHA

Spoke with a few parents that made the trip. They said Gover and Johnson each had worst shooting games of the season. PC had to be worn out after that 223 total point output last night to go along with the early tip today. This should show them what tournament time will be like, very little rest. Hopefully, this team played the worst they will play and things will go up from here.

It showed tonight. there was some good, young talent on the floor. Wayne will be tough in a few years. Although, Pulaski has some very good young talent coming up as well. Gonna be fun in the years to come.

It was "Defense-Optional Night" at PC Gym. PC played half the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter without Taylor Gover, who fouled out with just under 4 mins left in the 3rd. The Maroons were led by Kody Johnson with 51... THAT'S RIGHT... 51!!!! PC pretty much led from the beginning of this one.

Question is, can PC put together 4-5 games in a row? It will come down PC's inside game and Goins on the boards. Gover and Johnson going to get theirs ever night. They just need one more person to step up and score down low.

Actually thought of that after my post. But, PC didn't beat anyone that bad this year. HAHA

Quite honestly, this isn't even considered an upset. Russell County is a very good team. SW has lost a few games lately, not because of the "Karma curse", but because they are playing some very good teams. They are still one of the top teams in the 12th region, just have run into a tough part of their schedule.

Yeah, a former PC person, or THE PC person has been assisting Wright the last few years. Not on the bench, in other areas. One of the best in the history of KY high school basketball.

And just whom do you think is helping Wright? Has been for a couple of years now. Think about that for a little bit.

This one was at Pulaski

They are father and son. The son has been reffing for a few years now. I don't know how often they ref together but it was the first time I had seen them ref in the same game.

If you live in City of Somerset, you are still in Pulaski County. Therefore, you have the option to go to any school you choose(something to do with county taxes). Supposedly, once you establish a high school that's where you have to stay. As far as county kids going to city, there are a certain number of kids that can go to the city schools from the county. Not sure on the exact #, 150-250.

You want to open THAT can of worms? With all the recruiting that has gone on at Somerset over the years? Kids have transferred from school to school in this county for decades. Always has happened, always will. Pulaski has ZERO kids that should be at Somerset. Yes, they have some kids that went to middle school in the city but came to Pulaski once high school started. By living in the city, you have a CHOICE of what school you go to. You are not "supposed" to be at Somerset. If you were to send every kid to the school they were "supposed" to be at, all schools in this town would be dramatically different. I have no problem with this year's recruiting class at SW. Steve Wright and his staff have been on the road and just seem to be outworking the other schools in town.
