Roscoe Denny was the man behind the defense for Wright at South............Looks as though Steve might be missing Roscoe!!

Good hard fought game, Russell co shot the ball very well and hit the boards well. Russell was up 12 with about 4 mins to go and Southwestern turned on the press and tied the game at 79 with 50 secs to go. Southwestern had the ball going for one shot and shot the ball a little early with 15 secs, was a good luck but with too much time on the clock. Southwestern fouled after the rebound, Russell hit two free throws and stole the ball back with about 7 secs left. Russell played a good game and well deserved victory. Southwestern played hard physically but had some mental errors late in the game. Congrats to Russell Co.

Fellow BGpers it is called the rule of Carma, you may remember I loudly critisized SW's 109-21 smashing of a small christian school (Riverside) earlier in the year...while many said a win is a win, I declared a curse on SW for smashing this small school by 88 points. You are now watching Big Daddy Wright reaping what he sowed..........how about that for a credable reason why they lost this game.....

They did when they beat an undermanned Riverside Christian team 109-21 in the beginning of the year:cool:

Quite honestly, this isn't even considered an upset. Russell County is a very good team. SW has lost a few games lately, not because of the "Karma curse", but because they are playing some very good teams. They are still one of the top teams in the 12th region, just have run into a tough part of their schedule.

Marron fan I would agree with ya Russell Co is a pretty good team, it should be a fun game to watch when Pc plays them. Both teams shoot the ball very well, should be one of those fun games. They do hit the boards very had, maybe even a little harder then Pc, you better tell your guys they better get out on the shooters and hit the boards hard.

I also dont think the Karma thing, I was at the game nobody wanted to be there. Keep in mind that team has lost SEVERAL 80 point games, and this was their second game of the day. Southwestern tried to cancel that game but Riverside said they had to have the money. If you truly feel bad for them I challenge ya to send them a donation like several of the people in Pulaski co have. They were a fine group of young men and I certainly admired them, they were EXHAUSTED but kept doing their best, I certainly admired those kids and hope everyone on here that can give their school a donation will do so!

You better be careful about your karma comment. I like PCHS, I would hate to see the karma curse hit the maroons, don't provoke the karma curse my man:D
