Last I checked officials were human. I have seen the same official on back to back nights in the 9th Region let things slide at one gym, and be all over a different coach the next night for the SAME THING! Not so sure it is an unfair statement. I know in Ohio you can't have officials that you had at any point in the season. I like the idea. I know that if I was school A who had an official 10 times, and school B had them 1 time, I would think that school A has an unfair advantage to exposure......but JMO

In some ways having "outsiders" officiating the games isn't a bad idea. This way officials that might have it out for you because of an earlier instance can't do your game. People that are upset about having outsiders are the ones that know they might have an advantage from having an official that does a majority of their games. This way it seems more fair for all, or at least in my opinion!

NEWSFLASH: the game is over and the score won't be changed no matter how good or bad the officiating was. There are always two sides to the story. Obviously it depends on your point of view. There has been a lot of posts on here about either good/bad officiating. Game is over, move on..... Congrats to Conner. They won. There won't be a recount. Everyone needs to calm down...

I respect that totally! As the updates were coming in, it was just one of those comments that I was picturing the crowd chanting. I meant no harm! I agree to disagree with it being that being trash talk. But hey, if we all on here agreed 100% what fun would it be?!?! Thanks for sharing your opinion quickslick. I respect you and your opinion! And great points about the view of upset or not. I haven't seen either team play this year, or can honestly name a player from either roster. The talk on the 9th Region thread made it sound like Higlands or BC was/is the teams to beat!

First off, people need to get over this "trash talking stuff". I said NOTHING personal directed to anyone personal. Getting this far is an accomplishment for the young ladies that are playing in the regional. Based on the postings, most people picked or made the case for why Highlands was better and going to win, not only this game, but the regional. So from that standpoint, it was an "upset". Secondly, if you can't handle someone saying "over-rated" , then A) you need to step back and look at sports and March Madness (we all love the upsets) and B) realize, it is nothing personal! Again, good luck to Conner as they move on. The better team won on this night. The previous meetings are meaningless now. Also, people might want to revisit seedings, because these two teams would not have met in the first game if they were seeded! Just my opinion, I am nobody to get all hyped up about......

Well since I am not linked to either school, it isn't really trash talking. Just a fan of upsets!!!!

Who has the better chance of pulling an upset in this draw?

How was this all determined? They throw the district winners on a board and then draw out the district losers names randomly? I am confused.....

Would the Campbell County Camels fit into overachievers? They won their District over Brossart????? I don't know enough about them, but I thought Brossart was the favorite there.....

Was this the District Championship game?

I like this thread as long as people are realistic with "overachieving". Winning games you should win is NOT overachieving. It is doing what is expected! However, a team like Ryle won games it wasn't supposed to, so I would say them. Also, by the sounds of it, it sounded like Holy Cross overachieved some this season with their turnaround. But again, with having players returning from injury and such, I didn't follow Holy Cross much and someone on another thread said they should have won those games......

It was painful to watch as the flames were going up for Ludlow and their double digit lead. But give Dixie their credit, they got their four-peat! Congrats to Dixie for the Championship, Ludlow for the runner-up. That was an accurate reflection of the regular season.

Unless Tamara Sneed is going back next year, she dropped out before she started to CCU this year.....

I think it will be a great game! I go with Conner in a nail-biter! Why? I think they are about even and playing on their home court gives them the slight edge!

I understand the set up. It isn't sanctioned by the KHSAA. It would be nice for the middle sized schools to do so though. Or go to a class system state wide as they do in the other KHSAA sports. I still say 3 or 4 "Final Fours" will bring in more money than 1 final four. However, it is tradition that would have to be messed with. Some in Indiana love the new set up of classes, traditionalists hate it!

Maybe they will front her?????? The teams that seem to stop her the best are the teams that front her. She is dangerous when she catches it in position. I am just amazed more teams don't do it against her!

I don't know about "easily", but I would think they will be able to avenge their 6 point loss to Dixie. If Dixie can only score 39 against Lloyd this time of year, Ludlow wins this game at home IMO....8 or less
