I have noticed that at games this year also, make it will make younger guy's better by playoffs.

DISTRICT 8- Greenup County [ 1-5] [1-1] district, Boyd County [1-6] [1-1] district, Lawrence County [1-6] [1-1] district, Rowan County [1-5] [1-1] district, here at GC, we've had ejections', injury's, a couple player's quit, new offense, everyone in this district, have played some very good teams, and have been beat. I don't know if any of us can stand up to Franklin County, I guess we will have to wait till playoffs.

Gee thanks, you must be the kind of guy that kicks a dieing dog, we should get some players back off the injured list also 2 suspended players back, but I don't think Greenup County will lay down because we are playing the mighty Tomcats, or the evil empire, Ashland is 1-6, GC is 1-5, we may get beat, but we will show up, we just seem to get outcoached, we do have that Musketeer pride.:ylsuper:

Hey outsider where you been? What is the status of #7, coach let him take a beating last night, now that we only have 2 quarterbacks #7 and #9, #6 been moved to receiver, coach's decision, #6 said he's not quarterbacking now or in future, been played over and lied to too much.

Not sure about playing in the future, but might make a surprise visit at game Friday.

I totally agree with you, nothing much has been done to the football field since it's conception, alot of things, get done by the touchdown club, if it were not for the gate money at football games, other sport's teams there would suffer, soccer, volleyball, softball, mostly girls sports. I think, you have to spend money to make money, and get the community back, let's face it our football facilities are a joke, an emberassment, superintendent, principal, AD, all of them, have looked it over, but they do nothing about it. We will never have anything, until the administration is changed.

Do you think the defense for Greenup had an impact on the turnovers?

I talked to him today, his spiri is good, still sore, he has a walker and a wheelchair now, # 57, has been staying with him, helping him to bed and bathroom, now that's a friend and team mate, he sure does appreciate the prayer's and everyone's concern, his football career is done, he will be a stronger person, you know God has a plan for all of us, he plans on getting a college education, and working with handicaped children, he is a very good role model, and his parent's are wonderful people, and I can say also, they are my friends, from the Yates pep section, come Friday night , it won't be the same, with you not being on the field, thank you The MAN-ing and Old Rambler for your concern and your prayer's.:thumb:

Mahan was asked to move to another position, and he quit, he only came to quarterback, but that did not happen, but him leaving has opened up a spot for a younger player, IMO he had a bad attitude, and is not a team player. Yes, he is an athlete but Coach Hart let him go for some reason also.

I started this thread and I'm going to speak , this goes back to 1968, when McKell won 77-6, so Don Gullett, could break all scoring records, he scored 77 himself, and humilated the Wurtland team. We have had some good coach's, Coach Maynard, did do a good job, come playoffs his teams ran into Bell County and Rockcastle County, perennial powerhouses, so certain people wanted change. Coach Sammons came in with, mostly all coachs from South Shore, one from Portsmouth and one from Greenup, the Touchdown club paints the field and sometimes cuts the grass, the school is over all, maintenance of facility, yes, we do need, new bleacher's and lights, these are original from 1972, they are rebuilding the school at this time, seem's like administration would try and fix the problem's, no one cares. If it were not for the touchdown club, who has contributed in buying, all the game pants, school bought jersey's, bench's for locker room, new camera to film games, new sideline mat,s, spirit packs for each boy, kicking net, the new offense, plus we feed the team on varsity, jv., and freshman games, also gatorade, should Touchdown Club buy all these things for the team, or should the school? I've probaly left some things off the list, the members of the Touchdown Club get along great, with all making new friendships, and working together, I don't think the division, South Shore against rest of county, exist's like it use to be, the players do get along with each other, and I don,t tkink it really matters, where you live or what middle school you attended, the people and fans want to win, the last 3 yrs. under Coach Sammons, his record 5 wins and 20 losses, no playoff appearances, whose to fault, coach's, player's, parent's, fan's, administration. If we get a new coach, I hope he is from out of state, and knows no one, the players are the one's that are being hurt by all the stuff that goes on.

What can be done to turn the football program around, expectation's were high before the season started, now it is at rock bottom, injuries, ejections, the team is coming apart at the seam's. Coach Sammons needs to get control of team, or what?

That is correct, they are very small.

There #'s are down, they only brought 14 players to jv, game at Greenup County, Coach Maglone,will decide the score, Russell by alot.:flame:

I think your statement is true, our team is divided and not preforming, to many ego's, and politic's, players need to understand, the team comes first, with orobaly 5 to 7 starters out this week, it's going to be tough young guy's will have to step up this week, also, coach has to get control of the team, we just have to overcome.:laugh:confused:

Game is at Greenup County at 6:00, should be good, most of them played in jv. game, they really love to play defense.:dancingpa

In 2 weeks, Ashland plays Greenup County, jv. are 3-1, the freshmen are 2-0, and there defense has not been scored on, should be a couple of good games that week.

Was asked to move to a different position, left practice, but was back at the jv. game. I agree mom55, Attitude has been an issue, maybe some of our younger player's will get playing time, and turn this around.;)

Hannah, #25 has either a torn meniscus or an ACL Ligament. #53 Yates, lost for rest of season, with 2 cracked vertrabaes. Heard some junior's and sophmore's, hope to see #76, # 58, #79, on the line. #6 will get moved to wide receiver.:thumb:

No, thats our freshman team that has not been scored on.but we will wait until thursday to see if the record stays intact.:thumb:

#53 Yates has L3 and L4 vertabraes cracked. Coach sammons and Tj Maynard are visiting Yates tonight. Yes #57 Ratcliff will have to pick up the slack,but I have confidence that hes the MAN for the job.:thumb:

It shouldn't hurt us, I think he will come back, but we will see.
