Sweden is a country that can likely get away with that, among some others. People rarely travel there outside of for pleasure and most people aren't taking vacations right now. Completely different scenario compared to what we have going on here.

We are typically a family that eats at home more often than not but this virus has changed that. We are both still working then come home and play teacher for the kids, so we haven't had as much time to cook at home other than on our days off. We're trying to eat from local places rather than chains as often as possible, but sometimes the chains and fast food places are just more convenient.

There is a very large one in Boyd County as well. It brings in people from all over this portion of the country and actually generates a lot of tourism revenue. Thankfully they shut down pretty early due to the fact that most of their customer base is not local to the Ashland area.

I still have to work. Fortunately with my line of work I can make it though the entire day with only interacting with the person that is in the truck with me. But we drive all over the Ashland area at least 5 days a week so I see what stores are busy, I see how much traffic is on the roads, as well as how many people are in cars as well as their age groups. Just to touch on the subject a little deeper Boyd County ordered all parks shut down a...

Of course it has an impact. But not as great of one as it would have if people didn't not follow the rules and have Coronavirus parties and such. My point is that certain things were shut down and people were asked to stay at home unless it was to go get something essential. But that's like an honor system and at this point in time us humans aren't that honorable. Most just do what they want and find alternatives to going to the movies and...

What shutdowns lol? I have to be out and about for work daily 5 days a week, sometimes 6 or 7 days a week. The shutdowns are meaningless, other than it has changed some people's habits. But 75% of us are not staying at home. I can determine that from vehicular traffic alone.

This is really starting to hit home in Boyd County as numbers begin to rise. Everyone that prays please do so for my aunt. She lives in Ashland but works in Huntington and the normal mail carrier for her workplace had not been delivering mail since Monday. Yesterday she asked the new carrier where the normal one had been and she was told that he is sick and waiting on test results to come back. Fast forward to last night and she started...

There will also be a field hospital build on the state fairgrounds in Louisville. A 2,000 bed tent(s) essentially. That should be an eye opener for those that think this virus is no big deal.

Geezus. I'll give ya credit, you are a very strong minded person. But you really need to start opening your mind when it comes to this virus. Forget about the numbers you see and look at the broader spectrum, going forward. I would rather be wrong about this and you be right. But seriously no one knows because the damn numbers are way behind.

The mortality rate needs to turn around, its heading the wrong direction. That's the crazy thing about this virus, the mortality rates are all over the place which makes you second guess if the numbers are right. Which makes me lean toward they're even higher than what we know. Approaching a 4% mortality rate is not good at all, but what if it's really worse than that?

Those were the early reports from what I recall, which is why younger ppl didn't seem to care about the warnings. Then came the reports of them getting infected as well, now they're dying as well.

I typically agree with everything you are saying but am still keeping an open mind about this virus since little is really known about it yet. We do know that most all viruses mutate, but when they do they typically weaken. But sometimes that weakening can be temporary, similar to when a Hurricane goes through an eye wall replacement. Said hurricane will weaken but sometimes will strengthen not long after the eye wall replacement if...

Someone I know indirectly has now died in Boyd County. He would have turned 50 this year, had no known underlying conditions. Everyone needs to take this virus seriously.

This is a much larger problem than they'e telling us. If we don't listen to the best doctors in the world we're gonna be in a world of caca, or kaka depending on how you pronounce it.

They can certainly sweat, particularly if the house is warm, the cold water pipes will sweat. A simple test to see if you have a leak is to shut off all water in the house and go look at the meter if ya can, if it's still turning numbers you have a leak. That said it's the warmest day of the year so far but the ground is still cool, so your cold water from the main is as well. So if you're not running ac yet that could cause them to sweat.

Plus the DMV is shut down already isn't it? Not sure how anyone would even get everything transferred over to their name.

A lot of them have already made adjustments, in my area at least. There was a Sports Illustrated article on Ashland's basketball team yesterday where they even mentioned the efforts to combat the overload at local hospitals. Pat Forde said the gym lobby was being used to screen patients to help alleviate the hospitals. The local national guard has things in place to help as well, they have been getting truckloads of supplies to set up whatever...

In general I believe it's to force the few non essential retail establishments that haven't shut down to do so, which I know isn't that many. But likely the main reason is to keep more of the kids/young adults from going to friends houses, congregating in large groups or not practicing social distancing, etc. Just yesterday I was driving past Central Park in Ashland, which is supposed to be closed but the playgrounds were packed. Imo, this is...
