Russell 71 Fleming County 60 (16th Region Quarterfinals)

Featured Replies

The Devils get back at Fleming County for the 21 point beatdown back in December. Russell's two eighth graders combined for at least 35 points. Fleming returns everyone next year from a 22 win team and should be a top region contender.

Russell gets Ashland in the semis after opting to not play the Tomcats in the regular season. As someone that's not a fan of that decision, I'm glad the postseason worked out this way.

I didn't care one way or the other. People kept saying Russell needed Ashland to get better which was a lie. Russell proved they can hang with Boyd County for a half if they could just put two halfs together I believe they can hang with the Tomcats especially if they eat clock and make shots and keep the turnovers to a minimum.

Heck of a season by Fleming Co. They'll be one of the favorites next season to get to Rupp.

Good response by Russell against a quality opponent after losing to Lewis County in the district. I think Russell/Ashland will be a very nice ballgame.

So Russell is gonna play the game against Ashland? That was a short boycott.
