I'm not sure how a coach could rank the players anyway. There are plenty of times that a player may rank 10-15 any ability, but has a quality that gets them in the lineup (great bat, great fielder, excellent pitcher) seems that it would only add confusion.

I don't like the numbering system but if they have one I would have my daughter work as hard as she can to be as close to number 1 as possible. If she can get close to that #1 it probably wont be as big of a problem to you.

 

I agree. Fortunately for you, your daughter would be #1 on most teams she plays for, and definitely for her high school team.

We don't have as many games as other teams do so thats a good thing. Despite everything with our schedule we could win 10 of the first 11. Bracken is good I think:sssh:

How do you think you will win the first 10 out of 11? There is Bracken, Boone, Dixie, New Cath, Simon Kenton? Maybe you are confused about the whole numbering system?

Looks like Holy Cross plays Campbell Thursday, we will see how right you are about the camels. HC is going to struggle big time this year against average to above average teams. If I am able to make the game I will do my own numbering system for the camels!! for fun of course.

Was hoping so but I don't think it will happen. Pitching will be better but not great. One of the better players in the area who was the only catcher on the team choose not to play. Had a couple other girls who could have helped but also choose not to play. Also have a new coach who seems like a good guy but will have a huge learning curve, I believe he is in his mid 60's and never coached girls before and probably has only seen a handful of really bad HS games.

C-Bump, make sure you track the girls as they get into the game to see if they follow the depth chart.
