Charlie also had 10 rebounds. How many assist did Bopper have, he made some great passes.

Yes he did, I don't know how many assists he had.

Super win for GRC. Wow I sure hated I missed this one. Radio signal was so bad at home I had to go sit in the car to listen to the fourth quarter when I got home.

Good ballgame.

It was a pleasure meeting "Gold Sunrise" at last night's game. Make no doubt about it, see loves her George Rogers Clark Cardinals. She should. They play very hard as a team. I will root for them to win the 10th Region and go to Rupp Arena for the second straight year.

Henry Clay looked really good at times last night, but were a bit careless down the stretch. After 13 straight quality wins, the Blue Devils have lost a lot of momentum as they go into the district tournament with two consecutive losses.

Bryan Station wants Henry Clay bad and they feel they can end their season. I think they play Wednesday and I may go to this game.

I think Henry Clay will win.

Howard, Clark steal win from Henry Clay

Taylor Howard made the most of his final game at Norton Gymnasium.

Howard, a senior, scored 14 points and made a clutch steal in the closing seconds to help lead the Cardinals to an exciting 64-61 triumph over Henry Clay in the regular-season finale for both teams Thursday night.

Howard made four of the Cardinals’ seven shots from long range, but his biggest contribution came with the hosts clinging to a 63-61 lead and nine seconds remaining. Howard picked off a Henry Clay inbounds pass and flipped the ball to teammate Bopper Stenzel, who made one of two free throws with 2.7 seconds remaining. Christen Cunningham’s desperation trey from the top of the key bounced off the front of the rim at the buzzer, sending the Cardinals into the postseason on a high note.

Clark coach Scott Humphrey praised the effort by Howard, who entered the season with no varsity experience and played in the YMCA Prep Basketball League last season.

“The thing that sticks out with Taylor is that he plays with poise and competiveness with zero experience — and there are nights when he doesn’t play well — but he’s not intimidated, and he just plays,” Humphrey said. “He’s been a great addition to (our team) this year and we’re real excited going into the postseason, because this team has been battle-tested, tougher than nails and they’re healthy.”

I think I see Goldie in "Howard for 3"!!!!!

That's her.

Yes that is me.. Did you all see the IU scout in the picture?

The 10th is over before it starts. There really is no reason to play the regional. No one can touch the Cards this year at their high level of play. Best of luck to GRC against the 3rd region in less than 4 weeks.

If I was Montgomery Co I may play with a chip on my shoulder.

Why are you on that side of the floor? Were you stealing plays during Henry Clay time outs? LOL

Who was IU there to see?

That is where I always sit, except for big rival games. Several of the older coaches and retired GRC staff all sit there. Before Coach Humphrey came that was behind the GRC bench. He moved it when he started coaching at GRC. I do love to watch the visiting coaches I must say..... Believe the IU scout was there to watch Green of HC. Was one of the HC players.
