CovCath played solid defensively in the first half and really hit the offensive glass. SK played much better in half. SK didn't shoot well from the stripe and almost opened the door for the Colonels. I came away more than impressed with the sophomore PG, the kid is very heady and has a nice stroke. As I left I overheard some CovCath faithful talking about the number of shots he took but the kid didn't miss much.

Barnes, Ayers and Monson seemed to play some inspired basketball in the final half. Barnes nailed a three from the corner with less than two minutes left that pretty much sealed the deal.

Sad but not suprised, seems to happen every year at Cov Cath.

Losing 3 out of 4 has the fans restless.

So Ruthsatz gets half of the Colonels points last night, I think it would be interesting to see how many points he has this season compared to the rest of the team as well as how many assists he has on the year. I would say he contributes to at minimum 70% of their production.

7/11 from 3 and they're worried about how many shots he took? Awesome.

Other than a late pass that resulted in a turnover I can't really think of another time he forced anything. The kid is a player and if CCH didn't have him they'd be in a world of hurt.

LOL that is hilarious. They better pray he gets 20 shots a game. I guess it could have been a parent who doesnt like Daddy Ball.

Great win for SK. They are playing Well when it counts.

Ruthsatz is the most well rounded Sophomore player I've seen this year. Complete player.

The comment about too many shots brings to mind the Maile year a couple years ago at CCH.

Very nice player, but I suggest you watch Dixie play. Simon Kenton is a VERY good team. No longer a sleeper.

I assume you mean Hatton who is also a very special player. But after watching both play this year. I think Ruthsatz makes everyone around him better because he is a better passer when he breaks down the defense ans can still shoot the three. Hatton does not pass as well and with the talent he has around him, he should average 6-8 assist a game. I saw one game he touched the ball 6 times and shot it 6 straight times and teamates were wide open for shots. Both are very nice players.

You assume corectly. I've seen both play twice this year. Very similar stats for both. Hatton impressed me with a lot of off the ball basketball smarts. Both are brilliant players, but if I'm picking between the two, I'll go with the one who led his team down state last year (along with breaking the 1,000 point barrier last year) and has led his team to an 18-8 record this year against a brutal schedule.
