There are many ways to run a break; sideline, middle, or combination of the two. One is not better than the other, they are just different.

 

Secondly, I think you are talking about a secondary break and not a primary break that Beechwood ran. Or is that something you do not understand?

Sorry if in a discussion of Beechwood and Holy Cross, when you refer to private class "A" schools cheating, I assumed you were referring to NKY schools--Wow, what a stretch?? FYI there are several class "A" private schools in the area, and many have successful sports programs that have nothing to do with any illegal activity!! Your comment that "a private school can sustain (a successful program) since transfers can come and go through a turnstyle with little attention to anything improper" is both false and accusatory!!

 

Again, for your information public and private schools are all subject to the same rules under the KHSAA and as a supporter of several private, and a couple public institutions; I take offense to your suggestions that these schools are out offering what amounts to scholarships to talented athletes. I'd suggest you contact the KHSAA if you've got evidence of such activities!!

For the record there are 3 people right now on JV and Varsity who did not attend HC feeder schools and our in the program. Jimmy Ryan, but his dad has been at HC since the early 80's and I don't think anyone expected him to go anywhere else. Corey Sorrel who went to CCH last year, but was very close to coming to HC as a freshman but his Uncle coaches at CCH and so he went there for a year and thought he'd be more happy at HC. Finally Dane Lantry, which is the sole reason for BigZig digust for HC and why he brings this up. He is from Ludlow, why did he come to HC, I don't know. But there was nothing illegal about it and its not a odd for a kid wanting to go to a private school out of Ludlow attending HC.

:fight: Leave me out of your fight bigstud. I have absolutely no digust with HC and certainly not Dane Lantry who I have always found to be a fine youngman and a very good athlete. I wish him only the best at HC and beyond after he graduates.

If you have a point to make with BGGreen then make your point based upon your opinion and facts or lack thereof and not what you think the BigZig thinks. You and I have only had a few times where although we didn't agree on an issue we were able to agree to disagree. This time including me in your arguement is out of line. You have no understanding of what I think and have never even come close to understanding. It always has to be bigstuds way or be prepared to be attacked by you and one or 2 of your BOYS. What annoys you the most is that I know what I know often times before you know and you are a card carrying member of the "HC Community". So in the future you fight your own fight when it involves another member here on BGP's.

As for any and all KIDS who have left Ludlow I wish them the very best and I have stated that on numerous occassions.

Correct I forgot he came back after Cross Country. But Kevin is another legit reason. Since his uncle is the biggest donor to HC Athletics and everyone of his siblings graduated from HC.

:laugh: Oh please, don't go getting all full of yourself. They have a very good team this year and hopefully their fans will start to appreciate it soon before it's to late. Much like Ludlow the last few years they have some very talented players but unfortunately at small public schools it is almost impossible to sustain. So enjoy it while you can.

If Beechwood can put together a few games similar to last nights CCH game they may start to attract fringe players from outside the district to enroll there...similar to Highlands over the years and can become a player in the 9th, year in and year out. I am convinced of that.........with all the respect in the world. Ludlow is not a good comparision. You can compare size and thats it. Highlands is a much better comparison.

And conversly, anyone living in Ft. Mitchell can attend Newport, Bellevue or Dayton. They just may have to pay the tuition because they live outside the city.

Burlington, Hebron, Edgewood, etc. Yes, they can attend ASSUMING there is room for them and they agree to pay some $$.

Just want to congratulate the coach on the year he is having to date. Hope the success continues and some fans start to show up. .

 

Having watched Beechwood for the first time this year, I agree. Fans should get out and show some love to these boys. They bust their humps and play an attacking style.
