Any more the back shoulder catch is pretty routine. Welker should have caught it. For one, I'm glad he didn't.

The two options for NYG were to potentially/likely kick a FG to go up 1 and give Tom B 20 seconds for a FG OR score like they did and give him 57 seconds BUT he needs a TD.

I'm not sure which one is better.

Tough to say, really--especially with Tom Brady. IMO, when it comes to less than 30 seconds (and no timeouts), I think it's ALWAYS better to give them the option with less time. Especially when the other option is a 37 second differential with a timeout. Just my opinion. It would take some Tebow-like luck for them to get 50+ yards down field in 20 seconds, spike the ball, and set up a game-winning field goal.

Things are'nt always the same, however if in the 20 sec scenario, and Brady would have taken the same sack he actually took,, ball game.

Am I the only one that Bradys wife does nothing for me?

Nope. I am not overly impressed with her. Especially compared to other Brazillian women I have seen. She's way too skinny for my taste.

Only time she looks is amazing is in photo shoots when the pics are most likely altered.

I know. I am on island on this one apparently. Just like I am on Alex Gonzalez getting completely off the hook for that Cubs collapse as I mentioned above. I have watched that play several more times this morning and I am not changing my mind. That incompletion was on Brady more than Welker. I am really stunned that no one thinks that was a bad pass. Especially when Mr. Accuracy was the one throwing it. And I still say that if Welker catches that ball, everyone is talking about "what a catch!" Welker made. And if Brady throws it where I wanted him to Welker is one good move from scoring a TD.

I think Brady taking the safety and under throwing Gronk for the INT were bigger blunders by him than the throw. There was a safety on the inside of the throw to Welker so he threw it to his back shoulder. If anything the throw was a tad high. My guess is Welker in a private moment would admit all the blame lies on him for that play. It really is a routine catch for NFL receivers now. Perfect throw? No. Very, very catch-able ball? No doubt.

Interesting stat in the responses on the bottom. Super Bowls before Gisele: 3 Super Bowls after Gisele: 0...

Another....Super Bowls before Welker: 3. Super Bowls after Welker: 0.

Not having many top 10 or even top 20 picks b/c of success is probably more of the reason than Gisele if I had to guess. He is one of the luckiest catches ever 4 years ago and a missed throw or drop from Welker (whoever you want to blame that play on) from being 5-0 in Super Bowls and being called the GOAT by every talking head and sports fan.

Yup, perhaps in that situation if it did happen a second or third time basically any time after a first time it should be treated as a 15 yard penalty as well. I wanted the Giants to win but I did think that was kind of cheap at the end.

How was it cheap? It's not like the 12th man helped. The 12th man on the field was Justin Tuck running off the field trying to get to the sidelines.

I know where you're coming from HB on the injuries but your kidding yourself if you don't think Gronk hurt wasn't HUGE! He made the Pats this year w the greatest season in NFL history from the TE spot. The guy is a freak!

As a coach I don't like seeing 2 TE set at all if you have 2 TE's that can play. It's the one formation that really limits what you can do + puts defenses in bad mismatches #'s wise.

Congrats on the win. I can't stomach the Giants but happy for you.

Like I said, the Giants didn't have Hakeem Nicks the first time they played New England and they still won. Injuries are part of the game. It's not like this one snuck up on New England...

Bradshaw said this morning that nothing was said in the huddle about not scoring a TD. He said he heard Manning say it to him AS he was handing him the ball. Tough time to be telling your back to do something that goes against instinct.

To be honest I'm glad they scored. Tom Brady can get a team in field goal range in 20 seconds.

I needed the Giants for financial gains, but I would have loved for them to lose that game b/c they weren't smart enough to run the clock out and take a knee. Mannigham going out of bounds getting the 1st down inside the 10 was just as dumb as scoring the TD.

Agreed. Got lucky to overcome a bad coaching decision.

Pretty sure it was Nicks who went out and he was forced out while gettig a first down, which at the time was more important than keeping the clock running since the next play would have been 3rd down and the Pats had 2 timeouts.

As for the touchdown, give me a 4 point lead over a 1 point lead with about 20 seconds left any day. Tony Romo made the giants defense look stupid once a year or so ago and drive down the field in about 20 seconds for a game winnin FG. Rodgers did the same thing earlier this season. At least up 4 Brady HAS to score a TD...

I agree. You never know what's going to happen on the kick, it could be returned to mid field and 2 plays later you lose on a FG. The biggest mistake I think was the Pats not letting them score sooner.

I am hearing the Giants fans that were taunting Gisele were calling her Yoko.

Just saw on twitter that Gisele's comments were secretly recorded by someone who was waiting on the elevator with her.
