Bishop Brossart 82 Maysville St. Patrick 60 (10th Region All A Championship)

Featured Replies

:ylsuper: The Brossart Mustangs and St. Patrick Saints had a date with destiny Saturday night at Bracken County High School in the championship game of the 10th Region "A" Tournament. Bishop Brossart, for the 9th time in the last 10 years won 82-60 and will occupy Frankfort next week in the Touchstone Energy All "A" State. The Mustangs have put their stamp on this tournament. They will face the champion of Region 7 in the 8:30pm opening round game thursday night. Tickets along with T-Shirts will be on sale at school Monday and Tuesday. Tickets will be $8.00

Joe Jennings led the Mustangs in scoring. More details later in a game that saw Brossart make 27 of 34 from the foul line much like the last win over St. Patrick that saw Mike Code's team take 51 from the line. Newport Central Catholic's 17 point 63-46 loss to Holy Cross and Walton-Verona's 7 point 65-58 loss to Owen County means that Bishop Brossart will be the ONLY Northern Kentucky team with BOTH their Boys and Girls teams in the big show next week.

Go Mustangs!

Congratulations Mustangs! Good luck in the All A State.

Nice job Mustangs.

Looks like it was a pretty easy road to Frankfort.

Who do They play from the 7th?

^ Louisville Collegiate is the representative from the 7th Region. 12-5 record against a relatively soft schedule, BB should be favored.

I'd say BB is a pretty good bet to get to the Final 4 at least. Could meet up with Holy Cross there.

Congrats to the Mustangs on a well played 10th region All A tourney championship. Looks like they will be on a double date down state with the lady Stangs. Good luck to both teams. I'm sure they will do a great job representing the 10th.

Congrats to BB, I am sure they will represent the 10th well.

Congrats to the Mustangs on a great win last night! Very physical game. First time I've ever seen double fouls called twice in one game; and on the same Brossart kid each time!

It was hard to shoot most of those 34 free throws Brossart took they got hammered hard on some shots and still made 27 of 34. Several St. pat players fouled out

I think you're right.

Congrats to the Mustangs! :thumb:

Congratulations to Brossart. I heard their size and depth was just too much for the others in the 10th region. They could make a nice run down state, but I like Holy Cross to win it all.
