To clarify: I'm not a fan of Tom Waits -- his voice has been too much to overcome -- but I appreciate him (if that makes sense). I do need to read Bukowski, and I admitted as such. My reading has fallen off in the past 10 years, unfortunately.

January 17, 201214 yr ^I do agree. It is very disappointing when you chime in on something, especially something that has been heavily debated, and suddenly it dies. You come back the next day and your post is still the most recent. I've had that happen a few times.
