January 14, 201214 yr ^And only five losing seasons. :idunno: The decision to draft Vince Young handcuffed Fisher for the last few years of his tenure in Tennessee, yet he still managed two playoff appearances in that time. He rebuilt the team after taking over and developed Steve McNair. Once he emerged as a high level QB, Fisher went 56-24 in 5 years with 4 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl runner-up. Then they had to blow the team up for salary cap reasons. How many coaches consistently win 10 games and make the playoffs with average (at best) QB's? In his first six seasons as a head coach, Bill Belichick was 41-55 with one playoff appearance and five losing seasons. Since Brady took over, his worst season is 9-7. Generally, great coaches, guys who win, make the playoffs and contend nearly every year are paired with great QB's.
January 14, 201214 yr Went to where he felt he had some QB stability, after VY can't blame him on that.
January 14, 201214 yr Author I think it's a good fit. I'd like to see them take Blackmon from OkST, or the LT from Stanford with there 1st rounder...
January 14, 201214 yr First good news the Rams have had in a few years. I am excited and hope he gets it turned around.

I believe that Fisher is a great coach and will get things turned around in St. Louis.
January 14, 201214 yr It's St. Louis -vs- South Beach.....smh.....I don't understand. I think he hopes Bradford can be the guy most people thought once they get him so protection. If he becomes that guy it's much easier to drive to the stadium on Sunday knowing you have an NFL QB. Indy saw how badly that sucks this year.
January 14, 201214 yr From what I read, Fisher was going to go with Miami but they wouldn't give him the control he wanted. The article I read specifically referenced his time in Tennessee and the disagreements between he and the front office. Vince Young is one example of a guy Fisher didn't want to draft, but then had to try to make due with. St. Louis was willing to give him the final say in shaping the roster and signing guys he wanted to long term deals. Miami wasn't. After what he went through in Tennessee, I think the decision is understandable. I think Miami made a mistake by not giving him that authority.
