January 14, 201214 yr It's St. Louis -vs- South Beach.....smh.....I don't understand. I think he hopes Bradford can be the guy most people thought once they get him so protection. If he becomes that guy it's much easier to drive to the stadium on Sunday knowing you have an NFL QB. Indy saw how badly that sucks this year. It is very simple, and it was not Sam Bradford for why he went there instead. It is all about control, and the Rams were willing to give him more control. If the Dolphins would have given him that he would have been there. The dolphins are a team who has some good pieces in place, a good defense, and some playmakers on offense. QB is a question however Matt Moore did well once he became starter. So they could have drafted a QB still, but had Moore as the starter. The Rams job is scary IMO, because I dont know if Bradford will ever be a true franchise QB they can win with. It was the control he is getting there with the Rams though for why he went.

Doubt a 53 year old NFL head coach cares too much about the Miami weather. Very simple. You put yourself in a position to win. Miami does not give him that. 2 factors, with one that's already been covered -- QB stability and 6 games against the weakest conference in the NFL -- you get 4 games against Arizona and Seattle. Does it get any better than that?

You put yourself in a position to win. Does it get any better than that? The NFC West is not as weak as you think anymore. They had the 49ers obviously, the Cardinals finished 8 and 8 and really came on strong to end the year, as well as Seattle who barely missed finishing at .500 at 7-9. The only weak team was the Rams. The NFC West also played the toughest division in football in the AFC North, and the NFC East. So they did this while playing tough teams. People need to move on from last year when they were horrible, and see those teams really are not horrible anymroe. Not to mention I don't know how much QB stability they really have. Sam Bradford is still a big question mark IMO.

AFC East - Patriots, Jets AFC North - Steelers, Ravens AFC South - Texans, Colts AFC West - Chargers, Broncos NFC East - Eagles, Giants, Cowboys NFC North - Packers, Lions, Bears NFC South - Saints, Falcons NFC West - 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals, Rams IMO, there are only 2 listed on the aforementioned that I'd think to myself, year in and year out, we have a very good shot of winning the division. Those two divisions happen to both be the west divisions of both conferences. Too many standouts in the other conferences. Regardless, the decision really is just between the AFC East and the NFC West, and surely we don't disagree that the NFC West is easier won?

The AFC South since it doesn't look like Manning will be a part of it anymore is not that tough, as well as the AFC West as you mentioned. The East is harder, however he also would have more to work with right away.

Bradford has not shown that he is a guy who will consistently do well, and has shown he is not a guy who really helps his team win yet either. Plus he is someone who does get injured a lot. Miami on the other hand has a good defense, and playmakers on the offense. Matt Moore even played well once he became the starter. Miami was a team he could have had success with starting right away and for awhile. The Rams are still rebuilding and if not done right could take even longer.
