Campbell County 58 Bishop Brossart 54 (OT)

There were a couple of thousand people there. I'm sure each has his own opinion. We lost. I thought the officiating was fair both ways. Rick Chasteen headed up the officiating crew, with an evaluator in the house. Nate Verst and Joe Jennings were also stapped with early game foul trouble, and although we were unhappy about the situation, we are not claiming they were bogus. Why take one man's opinion as gospel?

Actually Nate played with our mini-Mustangs and on our Blacktop League team alongside of Justin Saunders, Trentman, Uebel, etc. when he was in grade school. He appeared heading to Brossart until the triplets surfaced. While it's scary to think of what we might have become together, I'm sure he wouldn't trade his trio of brothers in for the experience - lol!

I am not so sure this is a true statement.

That was kind of my point of my statement.

Plus, had an interesting conversation with someone last night and we were saying, would Nate be as successful at BBHS with their style of basketball as he has been at CCHS? Of course BBHS people will say yes but I really do not think so.

As far as the officials go, never is there a time that everyone is happy with them. And to the what if's, that's just what they are, what if's. If a frog had wings.............WOOHOO way to go Camels!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, if true 3 pretty good reasons!

Congrats to Campbell on the win. The Mustangs will get back to work and hopefully Justin Saunders can get his health issues behind him. He is the best player we have and we will be much better when he is healthy.

I've seen a lot of games this season at a lot of different places and overall I have to say this was the best officiated game I have seen this year.

Is this the 3-man crew that worked the game?

Three great reasons. These three guys and Nate seem to get all of the accolades. Brother Trent, an eighth grader. Had real nice game for the freshman. I'm not sure how many points he had, but I would say he had close to half of the Freshman Camels points. At least from what I heard.

I will put the point to bed since my avatar would say I have some inside information. Nate's decision to attend CCHS was made prior to anyone's knowledge of his little brothers.

Regardless of any of this, Nate is a fantastic player. I think that is the main point. Congrats to the Camels on a great win.

No, these 3 wouldn't have called the flop, err charge, drawn against their brother.

Regardless of the officials, one of, if not the greatest A-Town Shootouts in its history. Huge crowd and a great game to watch!

Great job Camels!!! First class players and first class coaches!!! I was really impressed with all of the young camel boys on the sidelines cheering for the big boys!! There is an awesome group of little guys playing AAU for CC. Our future looks really good!!!! What a great group of high school boys to be role models!!! I'm so proud that my children are a part of the CC family!!! By the way, our student section last night showed alot of class and spirit!!!

Student sections were great for both teams. I certainly enjoy the themes every year. I sure hope some of those little Camels have tall Moms and Dads. :D
