DId Schulte play?

McDonald seems to have really become a man overnight. Is Schulte lost in the shuffle?

Schulte played some had at least one basket, been off sick last couple of games.

Unfortunately though, she was the best one. The short guy ref must have had a bet on the game, that's the only explaination I can even think of for those calls at the end. A 5 second call on Bueter when only 3 maybe 4 seconds went off the clock. That plus the walk call on Seibert cost NCC the game. I'd like to see the players determine the outcome. Not the case in this game.

 

No doubt. When the ball was thrown in I thought there was 1:05 on the clock and when the ref called five seconds there was 1:02 on the clock. I couldn't believe that myself. And then the very next trip down a pass went to the corner and as soon as it was caught the ref called traveling. Didn't really think he had time to do anything before the whistle was blown. They were all three bad for both sides but these two calls were definitely at critical points in the game where the players need to detemine the outcome. I agree.

It was a packed house, NCC coach jumping up and down on every call, fans screaming discontent as the game unfolded. Players filled with emotion and refs trying to control an unstable atmosphere of an obvious rivalry. Would you expect anything different? What a great game and it is what high school sports should be all about. Best $6 bucks in NKY was at the Lloyd Tournament yesterday. Congrats to all the competitors.

 

I agree! What I've learned about these 2 teams when they get together is the following; You can throw out who the best team is, you can pitch the fact that one of them has one of those best players in the region that year, records go in the garbage, big leads mean nothing. These two tend to have a knock down drag out every time. Also after the game as the kids were changing and getting fed, the parents were in the end zone chatting with each other, congratulating each others kids for their hard play and talking about when the kids played on the same school team or AAU team. It was really great to see the adults put aside the kid's rivalry and reflect on the holidays and a hard fought game between some great athletes.

What I saw and heard was both coaches complaining the entire game. It was definitely a great game though and a very difficult one to officiate no matter who the officials were.

Officials didn't determine the outcome of this game. Brossart's better guard play did. They distributed the ball much better than NCC and that determined the outcome.

Agree with your comment but the officiating was still not good and a couple bad calls were made at crucial times late in the game. NCC's point guard drives to the basket often and forces up too many shots instead of looking to pass the ball at times. He needs to see the floor better and look for the bigs down low to dish the ball to, and Hightchew was just trying to do to much IMO and forced things that weren't there.

I didnt really see anybody say that the officiating cost NCC the game. Most people agree that the officiating was as bad for both teams.

I kept trying to get a shot of his leap into the air but just couldn't quite get it done. No reason to suck me into this rivalry, I really like both teams and it was a blast to watch the action.

Grant's fiery. I loved playing w/ him, against him, and would have loved to play for him. Coach Dawn rubbed off on him a little, as did his brother.

Sorry, was not trying to "suck you in" to this rivalry, just stating the facts. It would be cool though to get a picture of him and submit it as a "Funny Caption" and have everyone submit their responses.

There were many bad calls both ways. Those 2 calls didn't cost NC the game. They were just late calls. The walk IMO was a correct call. A quality win for the mustangs. Btw, McDonald is the real deal.
