Obama Spurs Firearm Sales

Is it acceptable that someone owns a high powered weapon with a 32 bullet/cartridge magazine? I am not saying yes or no ... just asking.

As an Illinois state senator, Barack Obama was an aggressive advocate for expanding gun control laws, and even voted AGAINST legislation giving gun owners an affirmative defense when they use firearms to defend themselves and their families against home invaders and burglars. He also served on a 10-member board of directors of the radically activist anti-gun Joyce Foundation in Chicago during a period between 1998-2001when it contributed $18,326,183 in grants to anti-Second Amendment organizations.

Sorry. Just an attempt at some humor. I find the hidden agenda and conspiracy theory talk to nearly always be on the outlandish side so I threw an outlandish statement in there.

Adult comment - Obama has done nothing to cause fear in the gun control ranks and I see talk of his gun control agendas now just being the NRA and its supporters getting geared up for the next election.

Obama's actual view of gun ownership is enough to be concerned about, IMO. We all know the left would LOVE to bring the "assault weapon" ban back, and you can bet it will be worse than the last one. I really believe guns and limiting ownership will be on the agenda. No doubt in my mind whatsoever.
My understanding is he wants tighter rules. I'm OK with that.

The problem with the guns right folks is that nothing is acceptable. That's where I diverge. I am pro-gun ownership. I also believe it's too easy to get a gun. I'm not naive enough to think you can eradicate all illegal gun transactions. I do believe you can make it tougher and also enforce rules about ammo and types of guns that are acceptable.

If that's his agenda I'm OK with that.

How much tighter do the rules need to be? What will it solve? Drugs are illegal to sell, buy, own yet if I want a bag of crack I could have it in about 20 mins.

Why not?

Another example of his true feelings about gun ownership.

Why not?

So your argument is this would be for self defense?

How many rounds would be acceptable to you.. I have several with 50 round magazines, but I can change a 10 round magazine in less than 2 seconds..
So your argument is this would be for self defense?
No, my argument would be for plinking, collecting, self defense or any and all legal reasons. Like commando, I'm curious as to how many rounds are acceptable to you and I'm curious as to what your reasons are.

Oh, joy! I'm now thoroughly convinced that rational thought is hard to come by anymore.

So we should legalize drugs?

If Mr. Obama gets re-elected -

Priority #1 - bankrupt the coal industry

Priority #2 - attack the 2nd Amendment in every way possible.
