I agree. I would like to see each of these players listed with their NFL team, high school and college they attended. I didn't realize there were that many players in the NFL from Kentucky.

I am living my life in an ongoing argument of Basketball V. Football,

 

The simple fact is the whole "Basketball State" thing comes from the success of UK Basketball, not high school basketball. The high school scene in Kentucky is "Football". There are 10 times the people at football games in almost the entire state. Attendance of basketball as a whole is poor at best. In my area it's Football 100 to 1 with Basketball attendance.

 

Now, someone will throw the old "look at the attendance at the Sweet 16 versus the Football Finals" argument. That is not a valid argument to me. People go to the Sweet 16 for the show. Look at attendance at the regular season games around the state. Then there's the "one game a week versus multiple games" argument. Again not valid. Heck in my area freshman and JV football games have more attendance then Varsity basketball games.
