December 8, 201114 yr NOWHERE!!!!!!! http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20111208/SPORTS02/312080055/louisville-football-charlie-strong?odyssey=mod|breaking|text|Home
December 8, 201114 yr dude... really? Sounds like every coach that's ever left a school. I'm not saying he's going anywhere (I don't think he will this year), but using a coach's own words as proof he's not leaving is silly.
December 8, 201114 yr So did Brian Kelly... So did John Calapari... So did...Well, you get the idea.

December 8, 201114 yr Strong is just like any other coach... Urban Meyer denied the OSU rumors 2 days before showing up at a press conference. Tubby Smith, the moral icon of all coaches, had his Minnesota job lined up before the UK season ended. Strong will say what you want to hear...right up to the point where he gets an offer he wants.
December 8, 201114 yr He said that at some point, we just have to start trusting what he says. Me? I'm going to take him at his word. I think he's speaking the truth.

Tubby's a bad example. UK fans had been calling for his head for the longest time. He was loyal. He didn't receive the same in return. I'd have done the same as he.

I agree that UK fans did Tubby dirty, but I disagree with how he handled things in the end. Don't get me wrong, I really like Tubby.
December 8, 201114 yr Im sure he is FOR NOW. I think he's here for a significant time. He stated that (sic) "Louisville isn't a training ground for coaches". For several years we've been a stepping stone. I'm ready for Louisville do develop the same coaching longevity in football as they have in basketball. That may be a stretch to expect, but Charlie Strong definitely seems committed. Heck, after waiting 26 years for a HC job, he may be just the kind o guy to be loyal to the program. Again, I'm taking him at his word, and all you naysayers and doubt-casters can just move along. Ain't nothin' but sunshine in my world.
