What's the worst you've been hurt?

I've been more seriously "sicker" than "injured", if that makes sense.

ACL and Meniscus in left knee. Football injury. Has never been the same. I've had it scoped once since the original surgery to clean out calcium and junk. It's starting to bother me again so I guess I'll be back in there in a year or two.

When I was 13 I wrecked my four wheeler tore most of the skin off my back and the handlebar hit my mouth ripping my braces off and stuffing them up in my gums behind my nose. I needed to be knocked out to cut the braces out of the top of my mouth.

Oh yes, that makes sense. My life has never been threatened by an injury, but I was really sick one time in my life that they weren't sure I was going to make it.

Sounds pretty rough.

If anything does anybody remeber "trailbikes" I seen a kid almost get sandwiched by 2 cars his brakes failed him and had wrecked, tore an ear lobe off, and scuffed his hands.

I've been pretty lucky (knock on wood). I guess the worst injury I've ever had was while racing a hairscramble I hit a tree with my leg, inside of my knee to be exact. Ripped me off the bike. At first I didn't want to move it because I just knew it had to be broken. After about a min of laying there I realized it wasn't. The next day my leg was black from just above my knee all the way down to just above my ankle on the inside of my leg. I couldn't walk on it for several days and the bruise didn't go completely away for close to a month.

I guess you can say I know how a bullrider feels after getting worked over by a bull.

Seriously, I've been really fortunate in terms of (the lack of) serious injury in my 56 years.

I was in a car wreck many years ago. Head bubbled out the windshield (I wear seatbelts now) and chest folded the steering wheel against the dash (no airbags). Had retrograde and anteriograde amnesia; there were a few days I never got back. And my memory has never been the same. But not seriously hurt.

Lost 3 or 4 days back; only 8 or 10 hours forward.

This happened at noon on a work day. At about 9 that evening, I looked at the sports section of the paper and read that UK and Louisville had both been eliminated from the NCAA tourney the day before (accident was on March 25, 1988). I took the paper to the wife and said, "I should have known about this." First sign that I was starting to come around.

The reason they released me from the hospital (or so I was told) is that I could recall things like phone numbers and addresses. Long-term memory wasn't affected, but for hours after I got home I would ask what time it was every few minutes (trying to get oriented, I guess). The brain is a funny thing when it gets jostled around.

I got CRS. But That's not from any injury.^^^^

I don't think it's ever the same after a tear like that. Yeah I would see a Doctor. After my experiences of working with pts at Meadowview I would have it checked out.

Yeah, I just switched insurances, so getting all my eggs in a row before I get into all that again. It never felt right, but recently it feels very wrong again.

Sucks haha!

I have seen were they had to go back because screws or clamps have come "detached".

I had minor surgery on my toe. It was the worst pain I have ever felt.

Any part around the foot that is injured or broke is the worst to try and mend. I twisted my ankle playing a pickup game of football, hardest part was looking at my ankle foot pointing the other direction.

Before official diagnosis, I got a gout attack that worked its way up both my ankles and settled in both knees at the same time, rendering me immobile for several days. Just trying to find a comfortable spot to position my legs was difficult, as each movement felt like I was being stabbed in the knee and the knife twisted around. Pure hell. I take medication for it now, thankfully.
