If they turn it over, look for it to be a repeat of last year.

In truth, if Belfry is anything at all like they've been in the past games I've seen them play, it won't be easy for Wales to gain the kind of yardage he needs, regardless of the amount needed. I do think Central likely has the edge in the passing game. They don't pass often, but when they do, it seems they've gotten big plays out of that aspect of the game. I also give the edge to Central in special teams. Plus, I don't think their defense gets enough credit.

Bill...they don't pass often, but they do pass pretty well when they choose to. I believe they used their passing game to defeat Corbin near the end of that game. Seem to remember maybe a 72 yard pass, maybe?

Thanks. I just know that they didn't pass that much against Fort Campbell...one passing play that they did have was a pretty good pass for some yards, but they mostly gave the ball to Wales.

They may not be a passing team by trade, but I suspect they do more of it than Belfry.

I would like to see Belfry win, but I think that Central is just too much. The Jackets are at a completely different level than the rest of 3A, as they have been.

Central is 3 TD's better than Bell County and Bell County is about a TD better then the pack of teams including Belfry, Breathitt, Garrard, etc

Central wins easily, not because Belfry is not good but because Central is just freakishly good. Wish the best for Belfry though great program led buy a great man.....Central's coach is great man too...

How are the visiting and home teams decided for the state championship games??

I think it just rotates, one year the East teams are home, the next year the West teams are home.

I'm pulling for Belfry but I really have a hard time thinking that Central can be beat at this point. They are playing so well and Wales is a beast. I talked to JJ Jude about Wales on Sunday and he had nothing but good things to say about Wales and his run at another state title and at breaking the record. Good luck to both teams and good luck to Wales on his run at the rushing record. I'm confident he'd prefer another State Title over the record any day. I hope Wales decides to play college ball in-state. He'd be fun to watch for another 4 years.

Central has too much speed and blows this one away 38-7 or worse. Central is much better on defense this year, it doesn't matter what Belfry has on defense, Wales ran through Manual and St.X two of the best teams in 6A and I don't care what the stats say that kid is the best RB in the state and should be MR. KY football after this one, 3 titles in 4 years is strong.
