This is in no way a slam on Manual, Male, PRP, X, or anyone else... but I think Butler matured as a team from day 1 until tonight as well or better than any other team in 6A (though granted I have only seen the Louisville teams).

Nope. Butler needed a QB and a couple more linemen and DBs to keep too many guys from playing both ways (since you get a LOT more out of your week of practice if you are not trying to learn both offensive and defensive schemes). If you give that team X's 4 best players then tonight would have been a much closer game. But if "if"s and "but"s were candy and nuts...

Butler was a few players short of giving T a real battle. I honestly thought Butler looked every bit as good, maybe better, than Manual and X.

That could be the case for a lot of teams but what are we saying here....thats not going to happen. It just sounds like people on here are saying the gap between Trinity and everybody else is not that big and it is. I dont have a dog in the fight but saying if they had 5 other players is a little much.

Congrats to Butler for playing hard. Also, the fan support for both teams was awesome. Hats off to the Butler student section... they supported there team with great class. The game was never in jeopardy for the Rocks! Way to many weapons and complex defense and offense. Same story line all year. Nothing will change next week with Scott County.FYI! I did like the two fake punts by Butler. Very well executed.

Yes.....starting last year, the NFL was the last to change the rule. Once a helmet comes off, the play is blown dead.

Echo the comments about Butler. Thought they did outstanding. Pretty tight came until T scored that 3rd TD right before half. Great atomsphere and great night for football. Hope the B player was not seriously hurt.
