Totally agree. I asked another poster about that very topic in a different thread. There are mulitple victims and witnesses alleging the general same activity and about 8 different boys and multiple different incidents. They can't all be lying right?

 

Somebody has orchestrated the greatest heist in history if they're lying. The consistency of the behavior they describe is, IMO, the strongest evidence of his guilt. It is the same pattern over and over with each victim. Sandusky works out, wrestles with them, plays games, and then says they need to go shower. That is in several of the testimonies. Also, having the kids stay in a basement room, "bribing" them in a sense with gifts and priveleges. There are no inconsistencies in the testimonies. The one victim did say his memory of showering with Sandusky was blurry, but that's it. Everyone describes in graphic detail exactly what happened, and they all have pretty much the same story. The only differences is that Sandusky got away with more in some cases than others.

 

It's pretty disturbing. Sandusky is a sick man. That's about all I can say.

 

The fact that he admitted to showering with them and touching their legs, to me, was an admission of guilt without actually being that. He'd have been better off to avoid the interview and keep his mouth shut.

 

It is amazing that he got away with it for so long when you see how many times it was witnessed or brought to someone's attention.

Sandusky also said he hugged the kids and touched their legs in a non-sexual way. I don't believe him. I hope he gets a fair trial, but he's guilty as charged, IMO.

 

If you actually read the grand jury indictment, there are a lot of people who apparently testified against him to various degrees, whether it is McQueary actually witnessing the act (which the report says he did), or others who can testify of strange or suspicious behavior. To me, it would be one thing if it was one victim and his word against Sandusky, but it looks to me like they have a lot of witnesses against him.

Doesn't matter now. The prosecution doesn't have to prove that Sundusky showered with kids because he ADMITTED to it in the interview. Before that, the prosecution would have had to lay the groundwork that the shower wasn't a one time thing. Sandusky just saved the prosecution a whole bunch of work on that motive. It's always a bad move when the defendant takes the stand. It's even worse when they agree to be interviewed.

Let me ask posters this. If you are doing an interview that millions are going to see and you know what is going to be asked, how long does it take you to emphatically say NO? Keep in mind, it's the most important "NO" in your life.

I agree with you. There are not multiple people accusing him of anal sex with a child though.

It took Sandusky 16 seconds to tell Costas that he is not sexually attracted to young boys. He's lying...

Yeah, the whole thing sure sounded a lot more like excuse making and evading the question than a denial. He did nothing to help himself in that interview and instead hurt himself IMO.
