I always love when I get to wear my "Beat CovCath...AGAIN" shirt! Good luck, Birds!

This could be a GREAT game.

It has been mentioned already, but if Cov Cath comes out with the right game plan, they do have the team that CAN beat Highlands.

Not saying will, I'm saying can.

They need to run to set up the pass, not the other way around. They need to pass when the opportunity presents itself, not for the sake of staying "balanced".

Control the clock.

AND the D needs to step up.

AND Special Teams need to contribute

While the last three opponents CovCath has played aren't in the class of HHS, CovCath has given up only 14 to Conner, a team that put up 84 points on a undefeated Franklin County team last night. Gave up only 7 points to a Rowan County team who quite frankly after watching film on both Ashland and JC, I thought (Rowan County) was a better team than both (Ashland and Johnson County) and gave up only 8 points on a questionable TD call to Ashland, who was the 1st seed in their District.

 

CovCath has had to travel a much more difficult playoff route to get this far, than HHS!

 

As I have said before, this week is going to be fun!

The Birds will have to win the turnover battle and stop Gray from gaining positive yards on 1st down.

 

I agree and believe whoever is ahead on turnovers wins.

In the 1st matchup the Birds scored 42 and CCH had 37 , can those scores be duplicated , you bet they can.

 

So whats different this time ? Obviously the home field advantage has changed , and HHS is minus one great WR , other than that , not much is different . The team that wants it more will win. I look for a knockdown ,dragout war , from start to finish. As in all football games , turnovers will be the key.

 

It doesn't matter who had the more difficult route to get here , the fact is your here , and the team that plays better will win on Friday night .This should be a great game !!!! Go Birds !!!

I didnt' see a lot of difference in the two teams either.

To answer the thread, yes CCH does... But HHS defense has stepped up in the last few weeks. TOG is right... It will be a great week.

Say the teams Cov Cath played were better, Highlands still won their games by a lot more. I don't think that shows anything. Furthermore Highlands deserves to play easier teams because they won the regular season match-up.

Nope watched all three teams play multiple oppents and I was just more impressed by RC. Yes they lost but they had kids out hurt or were playing hurt! Would have loved to have seen the RC play ASH and JC with a full team and yes before you remind me, I understand injuries are a part of the game and you have to deal with them!

32 and 49 points is a huge differential under any circumstances. Maybe they're just a film team. They beat Boyd Co by 10. JC and Ashland each beat Boyd by 30+. The numbers just aren't impressing but I haven't seen their films.

That I can understand since the scores against CCH were similar.

CovCath and Ashland both beat Harrison Co by about the same score. Then CovCath beat Ashland by 27. You can't compare. One thing I learned about watching HHS vs JC, when they put 8 in the box they can stop the run.
