Last night, HHS had 11 possessions. 10 TDs. Final possession was running out the clock at the end of the game.

 

Whether it is by punt, turnover, FG or downs, any possession where a TD is not scored is a "victory" for either Defense. Additionally, if either team is able to time their drives such that they score the 1st and last possession of the same half, that is also a victory for that team.

You are trying to compare two teams with completely different scheme. The blue birds throw the ball past everyone to win. This works because you have an SEC player that can go deep, sprint out, and most importantly tuck and run. CCH is a dominating 4 quarter football team that pounds on you and wears you out. They dont care about stats they care about wins and the type of team they are this year is a 4 quarter power game. This will be a great rematch for both teams have been playing well.

The first game was not a fluke. It was an example of the kind of battles this rivalry once produced, which appear to be returning to their former glory.

Last time I checked it doesn't seem like Coach Mueller cares about stats... he takes the talent he has from year to year and makes adjustments. This year the strength on the offensive side of the ball is their QB and 8-9 deep receiving corp. Two years ago it was a steady does of Austin Collinsworth, last year it was more of a mix of pass and run.

 

I agree it should be a great game.
