November 10, 201114 yr Do you think it has to be an established coach to take over? Or could it be a well-qualified assistant coach? I would like to see Mike Leach get back into coaching? Do you think PSU shows interest in him or stay away due to his controversial end at Texas Tech? I believe that Penn State would steer clear of Leach, I do believe that he will eventually be coaching again somewhere. With saying that, I think that Leach, as well as many others could do the same with Penn State.

November 10, 201114 yr All I hope is that it isn't Al Golden. He was a coach there in 2000 and of course played there but maybe he won't leave. It would be trading one mess in for another, but when the alma mater calls its tough to turn them down. I see no chance Meyer goes there. OSU is a better job and its not even remotely close IMO.

I agree with you about Meyer. On the other hand, the situation at Miami or previous situations with any other football programs doesn't remotely compare to the Penn State nightmare.

Already a couple of top recruits have. Backed away even with cleaning house it will not make every thing sunny in happy valley. Just a name if his team continues to do well Butch Jones?

November 11, 201114 yr 31 arrests of 25 Gators during Meyer's tenure at Florida for various crimes ranging from drunk driving, armed robbery, felony stalking, and domestic violence, to assault. Why would Penn State, or Ohio State for that matter, want to bring in somebody like that, given the microscope they are going to under now? I guess it is all about winning at any cost.
November 11, 201114 yr Author I think they need to clean house, even if a coach was in no way connected to the allegations. I just think they clean house, hire someone like Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden, Al Golden, Turner Gill, etc. and then recommend the "non-involved" assistants to the new head coach.
