Believe me Raiderbird, the open enrollment has made absolutely no difference in Dixie's program when it comes to BW and CovCath. And Beechwood is a public "independent" school.

I agree OD75. They need change (and not Obama's idea of change). Someone needs to take over and do things differently(i.e. hire new asst. coaches, different conditioning and strength program)

Dixie Parents and Boosters are part of the problem within Dixie, perhaps they should do a self check as well. Hopefully Dixie can get a coach that can change the mentality of the parents and boosters for the betterment of the program

I'm not sure what happened in the past with regards to off-season conditioning but I do know that Dave Brossart has about 50 kids out doing conditioning and agilities. Whether he gets the gig or not he's helping get the boys ready. Glad to see the boys out working.

All I can tell you is from my experience and perspective. The parents/boosters that I attended games with always tried to back the HC. We are "oldschool". He's the leader so you've got to have his back. However, it became more difficult as the program deteriorated. I don't doubt that some parents and/or boosters went entirely overboard at times, that comes with the territory.
