Zeke Pike Will Enroll At Auburn in January

Good luck to Zeke.....

It's time for you to move on and move on without your Daddy. Auburn doesn't want Mark Pike!!!! They want Zeke Pike and expect him to perform/act like the young man they recruited. There have been times at HHS that a certain family who's name I have decided to leave out of it, couldn't figure out why this college and that college didn't want any part of them. They wanted the kid just not the baggage(Dad) that came with him. It's time for Zeke to go and prove to the rest of us nonbelievers who don't think he will ever take 1 snap in the SEC at QB, that there is a reason that the War Eagle came a calling.

Good luck form this Bluebird young man!!!

For the record the family had all 4 boys receive Football scholarships!!! So maybe the dad's persistent ways of handling things helped and not hurt...

Best thing that could have happened to Pike is to get out of town and go start his new life. The kid made some mistakes in HS and was under the microscope so there was a contingency of people against him before he even stepped on the field. I will say he seemed ot handle himself better this past 12 months on the basketball court and football field. IMO he needs to be on his own and away from Daddy. His pops was a huge part of his success in passing on the genes and getting him inot the proper camps to be seen, now its time to let him go be a man.

Best of luck ! I will be rooting for you to be a success at Auburn unless you are playing the Cats.

BTW will this whole mess hurt the strides that Dixie has made with the new football field and gym? Meaning with all the bad stuff coming out of this, will a lot of kids decide to go to SK or Scott instead of Dixie?

Just for the record, I am in DixieLand and mine is enrolled at ................. you fill in the blank.

Mark Pike is not baggage.

Mark Pike is not baggage.

Your entitled to your opinion! It's human...

Mark Pike is not baggage.

He is when he continues to make excuses for Zeke and not let him reap what he sows. I wish the best to Zeke down at AU.

Were any of the accusations ever proven? Zeke flatly denies the accusations.

I was thinking this too. He has come right out on his Facebook and said none of it is true, and they're false accusations. Either way, he's lost the right to getting the benefit of the doubt in my mind. But I found it interesting that we still don't know exactly what happened, and we probably never will.

Best wishes to Zeke at Auburn. I think it is the right move. I am sure he really wanted to take a shot at a state championship in basketball, but this move is for the best. Now he can go someplace with a clean slate, few haters, a new set of friends and work on being the best he can be. His challenge is to develop the right habits and friendships and become a leader that all those around him respect. He is at Auburn in great part because he wanted to put as much distance between himself and N. Ky. as he could so now he needs to make the most of it. I would like nothing more than to see him achieve great success.

He wasn't alone when he was smoking before the game. Those involved took the blame except him. I guess he wasn't drunk at the prom either!

Sounds like you really have it in for Zeke for some reason. Were you there at the football game? Were you at the prom? I wasn't, so I am not going to comment one way or the other, but I think it's sad to get on here and bash an 18 year old kid. You must live in a glass house. What a sad commentary. What is it that you have against this young man? Guess you have never made a mistake in your life. Would you walk away if I said "He who is without sin, cast the first stone", or would you cast away? That's what I thought..............

Don't have it in for him. Wasn't there as well but have heard from several who were. Would be rooting for him if he was the upstanding citizen he portrays himself to be. Tired of the typical 'bashing an 18 year old kid thing'. Call it how i see it...period.

Couldn't agree more. The way I see it, 18 year old men need to be held accountable. I am sure he will be held accountable someday in a much more harsh environment simply due to the fact that his parents have not held him accountable as a youth. Sad really....

Does anyone know if he has been inside a Dixie Classroom since this incident? And same for the other students involved?
