Highlands by a bunch..

Is this the first ever meeting between the two?

No. I recall the Birds playing @ Lion Country back in the mid 80s, although that may have been a preseason scrimmage.

I hate to say it, and it is nothing derogatory toward Boyd County, but Highlands could really hit the 100 mark in this game with not that much effort.

This year's bunch from Ft.Thomas are so explosive offensively. They have scored greater than 50 by half time several times. Unfortunately, even though its the play-offs, the high margin of point will continue. Coach Mueller has stated that his team is committed to not scoring a 100, but I agree, they have the ability to have done so on several occasions and this will be no different.

According to Jbwill2's Highlands History site, there's no record of the two having played in an actual game. They could have, as you said, played in a preseason scrimmage.

Highlands 111-6

Even the running clock can't keep this one under control.

Do these games really have to be played? Seriously, I know the parents of the 3rd stringers love these games but they really need to give the top team in the district a bye the first round or something.

HHS scrimmaged Boyd Co in 86-87....

Pretty good. I'm okay with experiencing the post season but what good is it to bring kids over 100 miles to get embarrassed? Somebody help me understand this.

Oh, my score is below.

Maybe Boyd County doesn't look at it that way.
