I don't know if Cincinnati Bell still has the Zoomtown package with DTV but if you had Fiber optics you won't want to go back to Zoomtown.

I've been a DirectTV customer for 11 years now and love the service. I purchased the protection plan, because of lightning more than anything. I've had several receivers taken out by that force of nature over the years and all have been replaced within 24 hours. I had to have one really old receiver changed out a couple of weeks ago and the tech re-calibrated everything while he was here. My sister, who lives next door, had Dish and had all kinds of problems. She's also had cable (Brighthouse) and ditched that because I had more up time than she did. She now has Verizon FIOS.

Long-time DirecTV subscriber here. The nly thing I don't like about it is that Lexington network channels aren't offered; only Cincinnati.

You will likely want the Choice Extra plan. It gives you everything you need honestly. I think you get the free upgraded 2nd receiver with that package so you wouldn't have any kind of charge for the HD DVR on the 2nd TV.

Bell delivers its broadband Internet service using both DSL and fiber-optic technology. Fioptics has speeds up to 100 Mbps, although that would be expensive. I have 20 Mbps with about 2 Mbps upload. Zoomtown is strictly DSL and offers up to 5Mbps download speed and up to 768Kbps upload speed.

It's been a while since I worked with DTV other than my personal purchase so things might have changed. I would just give them a call and check it out. Keep in mind it's $7 per receiver and then you would have the whole home DVR for $10 a month plus HD at $7 (It might be $10 I forget). Typically they have specials going on so like it said it's just best to call. Just remember to do the $100 refer a friend thing. That will take $10 off a month for the first 10 months as well.
