Agree or Disagree?

Central is the class of 3a teams....Bell Co. is a dangerous team along with Belfry come playoff time.....don't see any other team being a threat....

Agree. At least until the Fort Campbell vs Paducah Tilghman game. :D

I think that one will be a good one.

I think Breathitts shutout win over a solid Somerset team last weeks merits them some consideration for a higher ranking. Personally, being undefeated and winning like they did last week in shutout fashion, I'd have them at #3, ahead of both Tilghman and Belfry. I also think Trigg is a little better than #10..

I agree with Breathitt. I think that after this week will know more about Trigg.

notice how 6 of the top 10 are in the west bracket....Pretty unusual the west is a bear this year.

If Bell was in the East where they should be it would be 5 on each side. It is a shame that Bell and Central are in the same region!!!!

Not from Tilghman or Fort Campbells perspective...Or Trigg for that matter. I think they are looking at it like let those guys fight it out and hope that they come in to the 1st district a little tired and road weary, Because they are 2 really well put together teams.

Still some questions about Breathitt.....schedule isn't tough enough...Central is playing 6A teams, Bell Co. and Belfry are playing their usual tough schedules while Breathitt is playing 1A opponents and playing in one of the weakest districts in the state.....

You can definitely make a case for Breathitt and they have done what they are supposed to do, but i don't think they have shown they deserve to be ranked ahead of Belfry. Both teams return a solid nucleus and Belfry was the defending 3A Runner Up.

Breathitt's 5 opponents are a combined 8-15 and really don't give much of a measuring stick with the exception of Somerset, who was ranked #2 in 2A at the time Breathitt faced them. That is an impressive win.

Belfry's 4 opponents are a combined 9-11. They beat 6A Henry Clay on the road by 14 and took a knee at the end to keep from scoring. They beat 2A #6 Prestonsburg on the road by 3 scores and they destroyed 1A #5 Pikeville by 40+.

Breathitt may earn that spot before the season is out, and their regular season record may end up being better than Belfry's, but right now, I'd have to give the edge to the Pirates. Breathitt will coast the rest of the way through their schedule if they beat Hazard tonight. Belfry will be really tested by Ashland and Johnson Central, not to mention district games with Sheldon Clark, Pike Central and Lawrence Co.

Breathitt's wins

3a Estill Co, 1-3

5a Letcher Co, 2-3

2A Newport, 2-3

3A Jackson Co, 0-5

2A Somerset, #2 BGP, 3-1

Belfry's wins

4A Harrison Co, 1-4

6A Henry Clay, 1-4

2A Prestonsburg, #6 BGP, 3-2

1A Pikeville, #5 BGP, 4-1

Looking at the whole picture, I can't see how you'd rank Breathitt ahead of Belfry at this point. With that said though, I haven't seen Breathitt play and I would like to hear from anyone who has seen them both.

Very good points.......
