Starting to like Coach's game. He seems smart about his play. Not eager and overzealous. I like Ozzie too. I just think he may make a stupid choice somewhere and mess up his game.

What happened last night? I didn't get to watch it.

 

Christine beat out Semhar in the Redemption Island Challenge. Brandon let everyone know including MiKayla that he didn't like her, then cried about it and said he doesn't understand why he's like this because he's suppose to be a good christian man. Coach's team won the challenge. Everyone knew the vote at tribal council was going to be between Papa Bear and Cochran. Papa Bear tried to act he had found the idol, but no one was really fooled and he was sent packing. He seemed very frustrated that he didn't "connect" with anyone. Previews made it seem like Cochran is deciding to actually play and not just take the tribal beat downs.

One of my biggest pet peeves about Survivor is when someone (Papa Bear last night) complains that they aren't in the "in crowd" and they feel seperated from the tribe, but at the same time don't really seem to make much of an effort to hang out or get to know the others. Granted we don't really see hardn't anything that happens on the island unless there is drama, but that just always irks me. Maybe because I feel like I could relate to any type of person if I wanted too and took the time. I don't know.

I am a fan of Coach and have been ever season that he plays. I like his game, his competitveness, but he also has a calming attitude and really takes the time to get to know people. I'm not real sure when he was deemed a "Villian", but whatever. Be smart to stay close to him for a while.

I just starting watching. I watched last week and then tonight and I already cannot stand little Russell. I hope he gets voted off here in the next 5 minutes. Get him out of there. There is only one Russell and this kid is just sharing a little DNA with him. That's it. Get him off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^ I agree!! Hug the person you just voted off?? When you weren't that close to the person in the first place? What's up with that? Coach had an old Coach moment on that one. He has been playing his best game ever so far but he went old Coach flaky with that move.

 

Brandon ... I would keep him around if I were Coach because I think I can trust him not to backstab me. Others in the tribe, I can see them wanting him to be the next to go if Coach doesn't work hard to keep him.

I just watched last weeks episode yesterday and I must say that I'm growing tired of Brandon's whining about wanting to be better and fight his demons. I'd love for Jeff Probst to say, "Well Brandon, don't tell me, show me." But in all seriousness, if I was Coach I would definitely want to keep this guy around. I wouldn't make it seem like I was buddy-buddy with him, but I woudn't want him leaving just yet either. Kid is unpredictable though.

 

Of coarse the producers make Edna out to be annoying, but I have a feeling I'd have a hard time being in a tribe with her.

I don't know about the rest of you all, but I was really hoping that the Cowboy would swing through and vote out Edna. I can definitely understand why he didn't, but I was sure hoping he would.

Yep, if I was Cowboy I'd much rather be aligned with Mikayla, Sophie, and Albert versus Brandon, Coach, and Edna. It's as simple as picking sanity vs insanity.

 

I do not like Brandon, but he makes for good tribal councils.

 

Ozzy came off as a freaking crybaby. I think Ozzy's problem is similiar to the one that Russell faced. Russell could never grasp that being the absolute best at getting to the end did not mean that you were the best at the game. He was too narcisstic to even remotely consider changing his strategy in order to win the game. Even though that strategy was destined to fail. Ozzy continues to believe that being the best all-around physical player and provider means he is the best player. Just like with Russell, he has too much self-importance to understand that it's not the case and he needs to work on his social game.

 

With any kind of social game, Ozzy could have easily convinced the "strong" players that Cochran had to go, instead he wants to kick butt in challenges, spear fish, and flirt with hot girls while more socially apt players like Cochran and Jim steal his alliance away from him.

It is going to be very interesting to see how things play out with Brandon. I actually could see his totally open and honest approach winning him votes if he is able to hang in there. At this point, no one is going to be able to use the backstabber / you lied arguments against him.

I am pretty impressed with Jim's game thus far. Not sure what happens behind the scenes and if he comes off too arrogant, but I feel like he has picked up on a lot of things that many players wouldn't notice or think of.

 

I really think that Mr. Honesty, Loyalty, and Integrity himself is going to realize how bad it is for him to be allign with Brandon in the end...and Coach makes a move to get rid of Brandon sometime before they start the jury. Just an idea.

 

I hope Mikayla sends Christine home next week.
