Fair enough. But by ignoring them it seems you didn't see much ado about those allegations either. I for one can see how those allegations would have a bearing on the positions she takes.

I only commented on the Rice allegations ... that is why I referenced something that happened 25 years ago.

I heard the "affair with Todd's business partner" thing a year or two ago, I suppose ... maybe even during the 2008 campaign.

 

Not that I've partaken in anything like that, but I can't imagine that drug use among people in my generation in the 80s is all that uncommon.

Personally, I'm not that concerned over cocaine use or any affair(s) (unless there is a video ). But, the woman is considered by many to be a viable candidate for the GOP nomination in 2012. Considering she ran such a conservative, family values, etc. campaign I think it's at the least, quite hypocritical of her. So it does matter somewhat, if for no other reason than this probably squashes the silly notion of her ever actually becoming POTUS.

 

If she still runs - and I'm not convinced she isn't - this kind of thing won't faze her among the people that will vote for her. Her image is based on victimization and this is just something else to stoke that fire.

As I said, I could care less if she did cocaine. Hell, she can still do it and that wouldn't by itself affect how I feel about her as a candidate.
