September 15, 201115 yr Watching this guy the last few weeks he has the worst mouth, and worst attitude of any coach I have seen in recent history, except maybe, ND last coach Fat Charlie. ND continues to get it wrong with coaching hires, and they are SOOOO overrated each year. This comments on Ohio State is just another example of his attitude and finger pointing.

Probably not a whole lot, the only difference is you only have 11 or 12 on the basketball team compared to 70 on the football team. Basketball team only needs 7 or 8 (roughly 2 or 3 a year) to be competitive, football needs about 50 to be competitive (since most true freshman don't see the field in football you need 15 or 16 a class that will ultimately produce).

Living close to Nashville, I hear the same comments about Vanderbilt football. How they are at a disadvantage because of their academic standards. However, it is often brought up that Northwestern and Stanford have overcame similar challenges and had successful programs in recent memory.

September 16, 201115 yr Duke has never been very good in Football. Never will sadly I'd say. Duke won the conference in the late 80's with Steve Spurrier
