December 13, 201114 yr Only time I have been fired was when I was in high school. Mr. Gann who owned the pharmacy I worked at wanted me to go and do the landscaping at his lake house. I took my brother and our girlfriends. When we got done with the yard and stuff we hit the lake and used his boat and went skiing. Cleaned out his fridge that was loaded with food and adult beverages. He didn't take to kindly to it. I thought he got a good deal out of it. I only made 3.25 per hour and my brother didn't get anything out of it but food, a buzz and the use of one of the bedrooms LOL. :sssh:

August 15, 201313 yr I worked at a hardware store in high school and early college. The store owner (who was never actually at the store) had a daughter my age. The daughter was a cheerleader at a rival high school, and had quite the.....ummm....."reputation". Not only did she have a reputation that preceded her, but she also had quite the spoiled-little-rich-girl attitude to go along with it. Anyway, after I'd been working at the store for a few years, the owner gave the daughter a summer position at the store, and surprise-surprise, we were stuck on virtually identical work schedules. Well after a month or so of dealing with my new and extraordinarily obnoxious co-worker, I decided to play a little joke. I happened to know a useful little shortcut for programming items into the computer, wherein you could fix it so when you type in a specific word, a desired item would ring up without having to pick up and scan the barcode on that item This was very useful for large items and items things like mulch, topsoil, and bales of straw that weren't regularly stored indoors. So for example: We'd type in "top50" and it would ring up a 50lb bag of topsoil, "playsand" would ring up a bag of sanitized playsand, etc. etc. Well I fixed it so if you typed in the daughter's name, the computer system would bring up this product. So long story short, dad came across my little shortcut, and for some reason or another, I suddenly was no longer selling hardware :idunno: Ran into EZ Bagger's dad again last night at Best Buy. August 16, 201313 yr Mine is classic!!!! Never get tired of this story. To make a long story short, I've been working since I was in 4th grade. Mostly at my grandpa's warehouse, he sold to mom and pop type of stores. When I got old enough to legally work, lol, I had several jobs while still in high school. Worked at Drawbridge, worked at a tire company changing tires and the place I got fired from was McDonald's. I'd been hired at the McDonald's on Buttermilk Pike in Ft Mitchell. My first day of work was on a Tuesday night and was being trained on the register. On my 3rd day of work, it was that Friday, and I was warned by some co-workers that the manager working that night was a piece of work, but they didn't use those kind words, lol. I never worked with this guy in my short time there yet. Anyway anyone who is familiar with that McDonald's location knows it sits right off the interstate and will get bus loads at a time from Greyhound or other charter buses stopping for dinner etc. Well I had only worked the register on my whole 2 days thus far on the job, was supposed to get off work that night at 8. Well at 7:45 a big Greyhound bus pulls in full of passengers, all coming in for their dinner, lol. The manager panicked because we only had 1 person working the grills etc. so he told me to go back there and start cooking. I told him I had never been back there and trained etc. he said its easy now get back there. I went, had no clue where anything was or how to make the crap, lol. After 15 minutes and about 30 orders backed up he comes running in the back screaming like a pit bull had hold of his gonads and started screaming at me. After about 5 mins of being ripped into by this jerk I looked at my watch and said, "I was supposed to be off 10 mins ago." He said, "Go and clock out, you're fired!!!!" I laughed all the way home, you see there is something he didn't know, and that was who I was related to. My cousin just so happened to be not the store manager, not even the district manager, but the regional manager in charge of over 75 restaurants in the south east. The next day my cousin caught wind of it, not by me btw, but from the district manager, and the manager that night was immediately fired, lol. The guy was such an idiot trying to put someone who had 0 training in the kitchen to cook for over 100 people, lol. I was offered my job back but said thanks but no thanks. I will say the other employees thanked me because they couldn't stand the jerk, so I did my service to the fine people of McDonald's. That's my getting fired story. August 16, 201313 yr Got fired once for clocking out early and going to a district or Regional hoops game. I was supposed to work from 2-8 I think and about 5:30 or 6 I just rolled out knowing the game was going to be packed.

August 16, 201313 yr I got fires from a restaurant in newport for refusing to serve wine to a lady who was at least eight months pregnant. Really? How much wine? I'd have fired you too if it were just a glass.
