First of all, it wasn't a game. it was a scrimmage which is the same as a glorified practice.

 

Moeller scored 21 points on Colerain's varsity defense. Moeller is good. They are going to win way more than they lose.

 

Real stuff starts this coming Sunday against 3-time defending Florida State Champion Cocoa High School. They have the 4th longest winning streak in the nation (38 games) and are expected by many to beat Colerain.

As CF said, it was a scrimmage. You can get some measure of both teams from it, but I wouldn't go crazy about the result.

 

Also, Moeller is good, pretty darn good, in fact. I'm not going to say they'll win the city championship, or represent Cincy in Canton, but they'll be more in the mix than they have in several years. That says a lot because we're talking about Moeller here, they're never chopped liver.

 

Colerain will be good. My guess is by the time Elliot enters the game in the second quarter this one will be out of reach.

This game could get real ugly. As good as Elliot is, he won't even be the best RB on the field.

It happens with kids. Doubt whether it would have any meaningful impact on the result of the game.

After reading everything I could find about Cocoa, I think Colerain wins this game fairly easily. Cocoa is a small school that does'nt even dress 40 players. I know their fast but as you know Colerain is too. Colerain's size, speed, depth and home field should be to much for Cocoa.

Ought to be a heck of a game

Cocoa has won 3 state titles in a row and also have a 30 game winning streak. They run a 3-5-3(like SK) defense and blitz a lot.

They've actually won 38 straight games. Of they're 3 state titles 1 was in 3A and 2 were in 2A.

Does anyone know where I could find more info on Cocoa? Stats, youtube videos, their football program website, etc..????

All of us KY fans should be rooting for Colerain to win the game and then of course for Ryle to beat Colerain.
