^Give me one reason, just one, that the prayer needs to be said outloud? Can the same thing not be accomplished by private prayer? And please don't give me the garbage line, "because one person has a problem with it, everyone else has to suffer". We've already established that no one loses anything by it not being said aloud.

As to your question. My reason isnt about outloud or private,(both accomplish the goal) it deals with stoping the culture of what had been done, destroy a community culture and you start destroying the whole culture as a whole. Downfall of society. A prayer dont have to be said outloud, but my point is why stop the tradition and culture of that. So if no one loses anything, why was their a problem with it.

If they allow a Christian preacher to say a prayer aloud before the game, they must also allow a Jewish rabbai, a buddist, etc., etc. Why not have everyone arrive at the games 2 hours before kickoff so they can cover all religious groups. What the heck makes Christians so dang special that they should be allowed this "right" while no one else is?

I have never harmed anyone for different beliefs, you all single yourselves out by being intolerant and crying to the courts and ACLU about you poor little rights and how others are not tolerant because they dont believe what you do, you can spin it however you want to.

I doubt there are Buddhist at Bell Co football games.

You are right, other peoples god is important to them, but at Bell co I doubt there are any Buddhist or Hindu, adn Jews have same God, so what did it hurt?

At Bell Co. you are probably correct. Doesn't change anything though. You can't differ in what's allowed or isn't allowed at public schools based on the area. It's either allowed everywhere and includes an equal opportunity for all, or it's not allowed anywhere.

I wondered if you'd ever look it up. You said something about "gambling."

 

Jesus was intolerant because the HOUSE OF WORSHIP, had been violated by people rigging the scales and system for sacrifice so that they could make a huge profit off of faithful people. They were setting up in the Court of the Gentiles and Women so that when these people (who were not allowed any closer to the inner Temple) came to worship and pray they were contending with the noise and greed of those involved in this "rigged practice."

 

I bolded the above so you understood the difference in locations between this event and a Football game.

If I wanted my kid to pray before a game, I would have sent him to a religious school. Praying to a god is bogus, and should not be allowed in any public school for any reason.

I don't necessarily disagree that it shouldn't be allowed in public schools, just curious as to why you view prayer in such a negative light.
