No, but IMO you are lost soul if you do not believe Jesus Christ died for our sins and was the son of God. Baptist, Pentecostal, do not have same beliefs in some things, but both believe in the above said. So yes IMO you will go to h#ll if you do not believe in the above stated.

You had no idea what my answer would be. You do not know me. You are not a mind reader. I full well know what I asked. I l know what everyone on this thread has stated. I read all 5 pages. I just want to know why they dont want help. Whether they do not believe in a God, Jesus etc, or if they think it violates the constitution, etc. I just want everyone to break it down very simple on why they stand where they do. I am not ashamed to say what I believe. I just asked why they would not want help. I dont want to argue, just want answers so I can better understand.

There is "only one God"....to you. He is not the same god to everyone else. It's as simple as that when it comes to those that agree that a public school football game is not the place for a prayer representing only one of those gods. Again, no long dissertation needed. It's really that simple.

He is not supporting 2 different philosophies. He wants to leave it up to the states and it would be the states deciding to keep their rights or to allow it to pass to a constitutional amendment.

When he says he's a "states rights" guy he believes, for example, that each state should decide what they want to do regarding abortion INSTEAD of the federal govt mandating that it has to be legal. He is NOT saying that whatever the MAJORITY of the states decide should be the rule for ALL states.

 

So now he's saying he wants to have a law that EVERY state has to follow even if they do not agree with it .

 

Surely, you see the issue of consistency, right?

I tried to explain the logic yet since it didn't jive with your beliefs you choose to take a shot at me. Cool. Who says I didn't want help?

Answer me this....Why does it matter if you say the prayer in private compared to public? That way, those that believe in different gods can say a prayer to their god instead of having to partake in a prayer to a god they don't believe in.
