Bengals Depth Chart

I think the Bengals will be better than most expect. I say that because I believe their defense could be a top 15 defense. IMO this is their best defensive line in the Mikey era (last 20 years). I like Mauluga moving to the middle. I think they will be tough to run on so if the question marks at outside LB, CB and safety hold their own, the defense will be pretty good. Offensively, they have to run Benson down people's throats, minimize turnovers and play it safe with Dalton. If they can generate some offense and not wear the defense out each week, they could surprise some people ... by that I mean maybe get to .500. I see no hope for anything better than that unless Carson comes back and we know that is 99% certain to not happen.

Same old achilles heel for the D. Either scheme or ability prohibits them from stayin on the TEs. Keller lit them up.

No banter from last nights debacle?

This might be the worst team in the league but I think the D will keep them in most games.

The Bengals' D might be halfway-decent, but they will be on the field far, far too much and will end up giving up a lot of points late. Add in that their special teams will be poor and their offense will be non-existent and you're looking at some fairly lop-sided scores. Three wins, tops.

Bengals traded for Taylor Mays. Didn't see that coming.

Jordan Palmer released. Adios. Maybe he can be Carson's pool boy. Should have never been on an NFL roster

Gave up a 7th round pick so no sweat.

If anything this gives Carson more reason to come back to try to really force Brown's hand. As long as Jordan was here, he wouldn't come back because him coming back definitely would have meant the Bengals having to cut his brother to make room for him on the Roster. Now Carson can say show up the day before the first game, or even in week 5 to force Brown's hand. It's not like at that point they would be able to play Carson, and you wouldn't think they would want to pay 11 million dollars to a guy to sit on the bench. So he probably could finally force Mike Brown into trading him. Now I don't know if Carson is the type of person to do something like that, however that would be the smart thing for him to do if he really does want to play football but at somewhere else.

As much as I am not a CP fan, I would love for him to walk back through the door and force Mikey Boy's hand

Nice, surprisingly good move. Might not amount to anything but it's worth trying for a 7th rounder.

I want him to do it too just to see what happens. It will be more interesting than the Bengals play on the field.

Read an article by Hobson and so far the '09 draft is doing quite well.
